Works great on my wife's new Vaio (from Costco). I understand that she's not using this dock to its full capabilities, but I wanted a dock that shouldn't need to be replaced for a while due to tech constraints. She's using it as a dock to power the laptop, send video to dual 4K monitors (using both the DP and HDMI ports, but only for non-graphic intensive work stuff like MS Office and web browsing), and connect other peripherals (phone wireless charger, 1080 webcam, HDD, wireless mouse & keyboard, external mic/speaker for video calls, etc.). We've got five (5) super-fast access points around the house, so she doesn't need the ethernet port, but I'm glad it's there. She hates stuff on her desk, especially cords and wires, and her desk isn't really built for any kind of cable management, so I used a lot of cable ties to mount the dock on the side of her desk, and then ran everything to the ports on the video port side of the dock (the bottom of the dock, in our case). I used one of the USB C ports to go to the host (laptop), and used the other to power an old Aukey hub with four (4) USB A 3.0 ports, where I plugged some of the USB A peripherals. I then mounted the power brick under the desk and completely out of sight. And, like I said, it all works perfectly like that. I ordered an assortment of cheap silicone dust cover inserts for the remaining ports that are facing up in the way I mounted it (dual USB C, single USB A, audio, and card readers), so dust, crumbs, etc. can't fall in, but they haven't arrived yet. She's probably too OCD to ever use those ports because she doesn't want to see the cords sticking up, but if she ever does, she can just quickly remove the appropriate port dust cover and voila. It's probably a little heavy, but I see that as a benefit, as it will never leave her desk (or be thrown in a laptop bag for travel), and the weight of the metal chassis and associated solid feel say to me that it's extremely well built. I haven't noticed any issues with heat, but it's got some space around all sides, and even a small gap where it's not even touching the side of the desk where I mounted it, so it should get plenty of airflow to keep it cool enough. Yeah, it's more expensive than what I really wanted to pay, but it seems worth it. If I were to purchase a dock for myself, which I don't need right now, I'd want a few HDMI 2.1 AND DisplayPort 2.1 ports, 2.5+ GB ethernet, multiple Thunderbolt 5 ports and at least a few USB A 3.2 ports, audio, card readers, etc., but something like that would've been extreme overkill for what she needs and would likely cost at least twice as much (if it even exists). Anyway, we're both very happy with the dock for her, and I'd definitely buy another one if the need justified it.

Another excellent product by Sabrent and reasonably priced. Plug and play to my Mac Studio and working great.

Einfach top soweit.
