It was a sealed pack but the embroidery needles were missing
Although it was a sealed pack the embroidery needles were missing. I bought this pack for a class and luckily someone was able to lend me a needle.

A brilliant kit providing everything you need to start this lovely technique
Everything you need including templates to start this technique. If you think you can only do cross stitch this is the technique for you. Simple running stitch put to good use in an interesting way.

Rather expensive sewing kit
I love doing Sashiko, but wanted a handy way to get new patterns.I was a bit disappointed in this kit.The fabric is okish, but a bit thin. The stencils are fine, if overpriced. They do otherwise cost £5-£6 each, so that accounts for the bulk of the cost here. The chalk marker is too wide to fit the stencils and i stopped using it after the point wore down. I use powdered chalk rubbed through on a scrap piece of fabric instead now. (Handy tip: place a sheet of sandpaper under the fabric to keep it still first)The needles are standard embroidery needles, not sashiko ones.I don't think this is good value for money. Better to get a good book and buy the items separately

Too lightweight
The plastic stencils and chalk pen were useful. The fabric is too lightweight for a beginner and the needles are too short for a beginner of sashiko. Have since bought a book and the correct materials; more expensive but definitely more worthwhile.
