Works great for removing rust around studs and other areas
These wheel hub resurfacing attachments work really well for removing rust around where the studs. It does leave an inner ring of rust at the base of the studs that I couldn't quite get to with this tool even by moving it around the stud. But, it does lower the amount of work by removing rust around it. Using this with the steel wool attachment for the drill and some hand brushes, I was able to get the wheel hub mostly rust free.It comes with a 1/2 drive female attachment and so needs a 1/2 impact (or an adapter to 1/2 inch). The abrasive part is replaceable with a screw attachment and it comes with total 4 pads. These pads are quite tough and expect to last a while. If run the impact in the direction that the pads are screwed in, it will come off and so you can only use this in one rotation direction. For me, it didn't seem to work as well from different angles as front on compared to the steel wool. Without the studs, it does like to spin out of the hub. So, all in all, this is a good tool in the tool set to have when cleaning out the rust from the wheel hub.

This is a very good and necessary tool if you want to do brakes correctly
This tool works perfectly for what it's supposed to do, which is make sure you get rid of surface imperfections on the face of the brake rotor. Not doing so will contribute to pulsating brakes down the road. This tool helps reach the tight spots around the wheel studs that are hard to get to and it does a good job. My only concern is the build quality, while not bad, it's not going to last you a lifetime if you use it frequently, but for the price you shouldn't expect it to. Overall, I do recommend this if you want to do a complete brake job.

Wow...powerful and caution when using it with a impact wrench
I just did a brake job and was struggling to clean the hub with harbor freight wire brushed. I had to remove a wheel for another car and tried this and certainly worked well. However, I would recommend using an impact driver NOT an impact wrench as the impact wrench took too much off too quickly. I prefer my impact driver which is more manageable. Highly recommended for those of us who are meticulous about car maintenance. Definitely beats the $7 wire brush set sold my HF.

awesome little kit
I have owned a lot of German cars and when resurfacing the hubs, there weren't any lug studs in the way. Now I own a few Japanese cars and, when doing brakes, I was trying to work around the lug studs with a dremel, sandpaper sheets, wire brushes, and brake cleaner or degreaser; basically anything that I could find to try to clean them up a little bit.I saw a tool similar to this on the Royalty Auto Service Youtube page and knew I wanted one. I decided on the 1/2" impact model but I think the 1/4" hex would be just fine as well. I can just pop this on my impact and spin off the gunk on the hub so I can have a much nicer mating surface to get rid of the small vibrations without having to sit there all day with brushes and brake parts cleaner. The quality seems solid for both the metal impact part and the plastic. The first "scrubby head" I used lasted through a set of hubs and still have plenty of material left. It comes in a cheap plastic tray but that is better than having them roll around my tool box. I'll definitely be looking for replacement heads for this model.

Well-built and gets the job done
I have older cars and use this to clean up studs, wheel hubs, and drum brake surfaces. I have done six wheels with this tool so far, and the first pad is still holding up well. My old method of cleaning up rust/corrosion was Brakleen, a handheld wire brush, and lots of elbow grease. This tool on my 1/2 impact is much quicker and does a better job. It also cleans up the stud threads nicely as this is a prime spot for gunk to build up.The tool itself is sturdy and metal, but the pad mounts are plastic. I was initially going to knock a star off for this, but the plastic is pretty solid and I haven't had any issues yet. Any tool that can save me time in the garage gets my recommendation, and this kit earned its place in my tool box.

Time saver
Living in the rust belt any thing that speeds up the process of removing the nasty stuff is worth the price. I too saw these for the first time on a Utube garage video. What a finger saver and a must for changing out rusty rotors. They work as advertised and how many things can you say that about now days.
