I’ve been wanting to try a mushroom kit for a while. I finally decided on this particular mushroom because I’ve never seen it offered in our local stores and I want to branch out cook-wise and look for recipes using golden oyster mushrooms. Following the easy directions, I started soaking the log in water April 6 in the evening and had it back in its box the next morning (7th). By that evening it had a few little baby mushrooms poking out of one lower corner! It’s now 4 days (April10th) later and the picture shows the whole side filled with mushrooms! So far the opposite side hasn’t shown any mushroom growth at all, which is a little disappointing but the directions say the kit can be used twice, so maybe I can try a third time to see if anything sprouts from that side. I haven’t harvested any mushrooms yet as I think they’re still growing but with the speed they’ve shown so far, I think they’ll be ready in a few days. And despite the one side not producing any mushrooms yet, I’ve enjoyed the whole process and will definitely try more kits in the future.Edited: one month later. I had the most mushrooms from the first side. I resealed it and set it up again with a new box as the original was soggy from spraying water every day. This has been disappointing to say the least. I have a few mushrooms growing at the bottom of one side, and that’s all. Not a great crop. I’ll have to mix them in with store-bought mushrooms. But it was a fun project and I would do it again with a different variety mushroom.

Don’t waste your money!! I followed the directions precisely but they only grew a small amount of tiny mushrooms out of one corner of the box. I repeated the process per the instructions to get a “second” crop but nothing grew. What a waste of time and money.

All my family love the oysters mushrooms. It’s not easy to find in the market. We were so excited when we received this growth kit. Easy to grow, we harvest about 3 pounds in our first grow. Tastes perfect in the chicken soup. We growing it for the 2nd time now. Starting to see them growing. Will buy it again.

I got one medium crop. Would have been cheaper to buy them at the grocery store but it was neat to see the progress. Value for money not so much. Fun yes.

Great product if you remember to water it. Grew only on one side, tried for a second grow as mentioned in the instructions but was not successful. What did grow was delicious!

It’s been 6 days and nothing is growing says on pkg you will harvest in ten days but there is nothing I soaked for time it said cut x in plastic like it said on two sides and spray everyday not even on mushroom yet waste of my money

The kit generated just one small batch of oyster mushrooms that were already sprouting when the package arrived. That was it…nothing else developed from all 4 sides of the log, despite following the directions exactly. Those few mushrooms were very good, but if that is all you can get from the kit, it’s not worth the price.
