Compact, good tension and sharp.
Bought for cutting smaller downed trees where access is awkward and I didn't want to bring a chainsaw. Very compact & lightweight, easy to unfold and tension and cuts green wood quickly with the supplied blade (the spare lives in the case too). Easier to lug around than a standard bowsaw (and the blade is guarded when it's stowed too).

I Finalliy Bit The Bullet
I have wanted one of these saws for years but never could force myself to pull the trigger on it because it is pretty expensive by my standards. That, and I was tossed up between this and a traditional handmade bow saw. Either way, the purchase price would be high. I have no regrets. This saw is awesome, packed down in a nice tight narrow kit. I opted for the case as well and am very thankful I did. I am taking this saw bikepacking and wanted the peace of mind that it would not damage other pieces of gear in my panniers. The carry case is very nice, is heavy-weight material, and should last for years. I have both the green wood blade and the dry wood blade. There is a spare blade compartment in the case. It also comes with two extra "C" clips that were shrink-wrapped onto the info card so be careful not to throw the card away without cutting the "C" clips off of the card. I simply cut the clips from the card....leaving them still attached to the card...cutting it about the size of a calling card and placing it deep into the blade compartment. Yea, I am thrilled with my saw.

Lightweight Tough and Easy Carry
I just finished bringing this out winter camping and it did almost all I asked it to. Nice and lightweight for the hike in. Easy to put together and cut through the logs and trees within its range. Only issue that I had was a tree that was down across the trail was too big for the saw to cut completely through to remove and that's not its fault. If the tree hadn't been wedged in-between two others, I could have rolled it and completed the cut from the other side(probably). The carry case is well thought out with a compartment for spare parts and a sleeve for a spare blade as well. I fully suggest getting this for your backcountry Hiking, canoe or atv trips and firewood needs.

Awesome saw.
It’s heavy for backpacking. But car camping, base camp, bush survival it’s a must have. Cuts dry 5 inch red oak like butter. Literally under 5 minutes. 2-3 inch green wood under 3 minutes. Saw blade cleans up easy, no gummy sap buildup. I’ve used it 5 times. Once for a big fire. Once to cut path on old logging road. Comes with extra blade & hinge pinch nut. Which was a really nice surprise. Sheathe is nice & heavy duty corduroy. Holds extra blade & pinch nut. It’s awesome & easy to see why it’s one of highest rated saws out there. It’s a bow saw with Silky saws type thought & performance. Stows away to protect blade. I love it.
