Amplifier
Very tinny sound amplification.

good for TV listening
This is a hearing aid that is enough for watching TV. This is not an aid that you would want to wear all day. But for the person having trouble hearing the TV and turning up volume too loud for others, this aid is enough.

Lightweight
Feels generic but it does work. Its cheap so that is to be expected. Its light weight too and easy to carry around.

Not good
Not sure how to write this review, honestly. These are more of an amplifier than a hearing aid. When you first turn them on, it goes straight to level 10 and you can hear yourself breathing. When the microphone pack rubs against your clothing, it is quite painful. The headphones are not comfortable at all and do not want to stay in. There is only one button to control the volume. You read that right, one button to go up and down. Kind of hard to turn on, really have to push the button and keep it pushed. I wanted these to work, but will be emergency backups. Would be nice if it had a cap of loud sounds so everything was more equal. Not the worst I've tried and why I'm giving it two stars instead of one.

Separate microphone and in-ear speakers [3-plus-stars]
These hearing amplifiers are very similar to others I tried and reviewed recently. Included are with 3 pairs of ear plugs in assorted sizes, a USB C cord that runs from the device to the ear (the same C port is used for charging with the included USB C cord, a lanyard and a plastic loop not mentioned in the instructions or the listing (and I can’t figure out what its purpose). Sound quality is a bit better than the other similar amplifiers I tried recently; not what I consider to be truly life-like but very usable. There are 2 simple controls: 1) volume using the small button on the side of the device, and 2) the larger button on the center front of the device is for power. The microphone is on the control device and I experimented with where to clip it on me for the best results (near the ear piece was a bad location for me). The listing indicates a 2-hour charge provides 100 hours of working time. The separate speaker in the ear and the control device as the microphone is not for me. It is affordable ($44.95 US when reviewed using the listing’s online $5 off coupon) and works pretty well for the price but to me this is a 3-plus-star back up to everyday hearing aids.

Hearing Amplifiers
"No, really it isn't hearing aids, It is just an amplifier." I guess the reason older people resist hearing aids is it means a sign or really old age. These things work alright without looking like a real hearing aid.

Prefer not to have it always start out so loud
I really can't get past how there is no option to have the volume at a minimum or even less than maximum when you first put this on. A sudden burst of loud noise isn't pleasant. They work as an amplifier, so everything is louder without definition. This would do in a pinch as a backup.
