Buying something like this, you have to know that you are going to lose pieces and that younger kids are going to be more interested in ripping the pieces off the velcro than actually focusing on matching things.That said, our almost 2 year old loves this thing! He will actually sit down and focus and match the animals/vehicles/food from one page to the other. Sometimes he does just go wild and rip off all the pieces and put them in a cup or something - you know typical toddler things - but he likes it.It is brightly colored and interesting. He loves the animals and pretends to take bites of the food.There was a learning curve at the beginning to know where to grab the pieces to pull them off, so we have some animals without heads - but it works fine! hahaYou do have to attach all of the velcro to the pieces and to the book itself, but I did not find that to be an issue or concern. There are plenty of adhesives with extras included.Pro Tip: Check before you start applying the velco that you are putting the same type of part on the pieces and the counterpart on the book itself.Example: the scratchy velcro part on the pieces and the soft counterpart on the book. If you mix them up, not everything will be able to stick to each other. You think that wouldn't be an issue until you try to stick the pieces to the book and realize you go it backwards and have to redo it lol.

I had an upcoming day planned where we would be eating at Shady Maple (a huge buffet style restaurant) and we typically spend about two hours sitting at the table.I purchased this the day before, it arrived the next day.I did have to spend a good portion of time putting the Velcro on all the pieces but it was absolutely worth it !By the time I repeated each thing to him while putting it together and after using it for those few hours he was saying a ton of words, figuring out where to put things. He’s one, will be two in 4 months. I was amazed. He already had a good vocabulary but this gave him a huge boost and he loved it!I try to use things like this Busy Book to teach my son how to occupy himself or be occupied with interactive things like we did as children. We had to find ways and use what we had.Best on the market, great gift & affordable too!There was only ONE thing - I ran out of Velcro I’m not sure if this was a defect or what but they sell extras on Amazon. I didn’t want to return it, but they wouldn’t send extra or replacement ones.If the product wasn’t great I’d think that’s unacceptable but I can look past it considering the quality of the product itself.

My 4 year old loves these busy books. They keep him entertained for a long time. We got his first one when he was 3 and it was very easy for him to use. They incorporate learning with fun. Comes with a nice pouch to keep all of the pieces together.

I went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars, as I wasn’t given the adequate amount of Velcro dots and have to purchase more on my own. It should come with the necessary amount to use the entire book effectively in my opinion

Bought this for my grandson as an Easter so glad with it well made I think he gonna enjoy it and have fun learning!! I recommend this !!!

Great book but it would of been better to have enough of the velcro for the pieces on the book.

Live the variety in the pages of this busy book, but whoever designed the binding clearly focused on the book's thickness WITHOUT the pieces velcroed in! Once everything is attached to the pages inside, it's clear the spiral needs to be at least 3 times bigger! Yes, I could pull all the velcro pieces out and carry them around separately, but that defeats the point of having everything in one place. Besides, what's the point of dedicating two pages for each "set" of pieces if they aren't meant to be or can't be stored on the pages themselves?Also, you get basically the exact number of velcro stickies as you need with a handful of extra. And it comes with only enough "soft" velcro sides for the pieces, so make sure you're putting the "scratchy" velcro side on the book itself!

It’s an educational and entertaining book for toddlers. Kids can spend a long time with it. The only downside is that the stickers don’t come pre-applied—you have to put them on yourself when you first get the book. It takes some time to prepare, but after that, it’s a great book!
