After Knee surgery
bought the item because we like to get out and take do things. I first used the chair / cane when we went out to do some target practice. Standing on a knee that I had surgery on was uncomfortable at times, that is when I used the seat. It works great, sturdy, light weight, and you can use it as a cane for stability.

Sturdy , attractive and useful !
I'm a hiker and I travel to parks that , at times , have no benches or rest areas . This stick is the perfect solution ! Stop anywhere along the trail fold it open and take a sit ! Easy as that ! Stylish , sturdy , and fits the job perfectly !

TIP SLIPS
With only a metal tip and no rubber this cane will slip on hard surfaces except maybe concrete where you can set the cane in hard. Wood floors will suffer greatly, tip can get caught on carpet if point is not kept clean of snags. There should be a rubber(removable) tip.

OK Product, but the one I received was used and beaten up
Based on a brief test, the product seems sturdy enough and well-made enough to function. It was not uncomfortable on the posterior, although the stance you have to use to sit on it does require a certain amount of work with the knees. The seat and coverings appear to be fake leather, not genuine, and the seat seems to be attached with melted plastic riveting, not stitching. Plastic knob on the adjustment screw. Altogether, not high-end manufacturing, but seemingly sturdy and workable. Hard to say if it would hold up over the long term. I would probably give it 3 stars, if I'd gotten one in decent condition. However, the one this seller sent me looked as though it had been used, even kind of beaten up, and then returned. There are scuffs on the leather shaft cover, and a small gouge in it. There are plenty of scratches on the chrome shaft. The adjustment holes look like they have been ground down, kind of crudely, and the exposed steel has rusted slightly around the holes. Not the condition I expect of a new item.

Great to take to tournaments
The item was purchased for use at PGA Tour and LPGA tournaments along with while I am on the range practicing , nice to stop and sit for a few min then resume. I also carry it on the course when walking as a way to just take the weight off while waiting to play. If you like to walk vs ride this is a great item to have with you.The only drawback has been the vinyl on the handle , that came loose within the first year but has not bearing on the overall ability to use for the intended purpose.Have had this seat going on 3 years and expect it to last much longer.

Seat will suddenly drop
I was sitting watching my daughters golf match and turned slightly and the seat dropped from the setting I had Placed it to the bottom causing me to lose my balance. Upon closer inspection I found that the screw only protrudes into the seat support post only 4mm even though the screw is threaded all the way. If you could thread the screw all the way in, it would seat father into the base post and could keep the seat support post from sliding down. See photos. The diameter difference between the seat post and base post leaves about 3mm of gap overall, and that with the small penetration of the screw allows the screw tip to come out of the hole with any twisting motion. I am 50 pounds under the listed weight limit.
