Great replacement! Easy to order and install

The Freshwater Salt System cartridge has always been a hit or miss for us. A majority of the time they work to produce chlorine for the advertised ~4 months. But a lot of the time they either don't work at all (like this time), or work for far less 4 months. I've checked and rechecked the chemistry and salt level of the tub, so I don't think the issue is the water quality. And the filters are cleaned regularly. So, I'm just not sure how good this product is on a regular, repeatable basis.

Exactly as ordered

This is working just as intended. Be wary of the cheaper ones— I bought one with an ill fitting o-ring which caused a big disturbance . The Hot Springs technician thought the tub was leaking and needed a big destructive repair. Then I recalled the Challenger disaster and put 2 and 2 together, changed the electrode to this one and problem solved.

Works very well keeping water clean

We usually buy this product from a local store, but the prices have gotten too high. It’s definitely cheaper online and it’s the same product.

These are supposed to last 4 months before needing to be changed. During the winter I run my Hot Springs tub salt level at 2 because of not a lot of use. I installed 1st one of a package of 3 on 12/25/25 and yesterday, Jan 12, it prompted me to change the cartridge! A month and a half usage is not acceptable. At this rate what should have lasted a year will not even last 6 months!!!!! Was I sold some used or returned cartridges????? I guess time will tell with how long this next one lasts! Jury still out and I will update this post when I see how long the next one lasts but at this point this was a very expensive venture indeed and not worth the money at all!!!!!
