Yes, our JBL Tune 130NC TWS works with only the left or right ear bud connected to a phone or source device.

Can i use it on iphone?

I have an iPhone 12 max and it cuts out for a second every 30 seconds or so. I stopped using them within 10 days

How do you use ANC in mono mode?

Thanks for your inquiry. The active noise canceling mode of our JBL Tune 130NC TWS does not work in mono mode.

Why did JBL give two completely opposite answers about whether these have volume control?

Our JBL Tune 130NC TWS has button controls on both earbuds that you can customize and set for volume control. You could use the JBL My Headphone app to configure the gestures/ swipe controls.
