Cleans the floor well, no streaks and beats the steam mop for quality cleaning
OK i have 4 dogs, they really put paw muddy marks on the textured ceramic tiles. I have tried steamers with a micro-fibre pad, yes it does work, but leaves lots of marks. so i tried this, it cleaned very well with very little water use. i did my entire downstairs which is a big area and still had a 1/4 tank left. The pads picked up all the dirt. It did not put any back onto the floor. if you have a deep texture like mine i would use the orange. the white and grey do work but needed 2 sets of pads. Just rinse and put them in the washer. (i rinsed as there was so much dirt i did not want to clog the filter on the washer) I found it easy to use, it steers a little by twisting the handle. i found it took a little longer than a mop or steamer but the results were far better. As long as it is robust and keeps working a definite great buy for me. The filling is easy, tip upside down and use the detergent supplied to the first mark then top up with water. I recommend emptying out after use so that it does not smell. The good news is there is no dirt tank to rinse out and smell eventually. Replacement pads are easy to get. not too expensive really. I bought a 3 pack of each type to make sure i have a spare set if the floor is really bad (usually if it's raining) i also vacuum first, dust and dogs hairs don't help with cleaning.

Easy with kids, remarkably effective
With two toddlers you can imagine that the tiled floors of our victorian terrace get filthy. You might also understand that other than a cursory sweep it can be a bit challenging to clean them thoroughly as it is likely they need to be walked over in the very near future. This, and the fact that the floors are seldom absolutely level - pretty much - eliminates a once over with a traditional mop that leaves puddles everywhere. I've had a steam mop for a while but this can damage the varnish on the floors we have had done and - again - with the toddlers running riot you don't want hot steam everywhere. I've had this electric mop for a week and it is genuinely the perfect solution: there are two spinning microfibre pads in contact with the floor (so it gets into a century of damage to the tiles) and you can control the amount of water sprayed onto the floor easily. Consequently the floors are dry within minutes, streak free, but you can utilise more water when needed. The device is easily used whilst carrying the 1 year old in my arms and its quiet enough to be used after bedtime or when only one of them is awake. Both soft and scrubbing pads can be put into the wash at 40 degrees - without fabric conditioner - so can be washed with clothes if needed. They have to be air dried but they are small enough that this is achieved quickly. It comes with a small bottle of cleaning fluid but thus far it seems that its pretty economical. I've cleaned kitchen, WC, Utility and hallway twice and have only just used enough quoted for a "small space" and the area is hardly that! I think that I might be able to use another set of soft pads to floor polish down too but will have to see. Theres nothing hot or that would be dangerous for the gruesome twosome other than the long cable and its nowhere near loud enough for them to go running away with hands over the ears, both of which are an important measure in most of my household appliances! I bought his on a £99 deal of the day and I feel at that it represents pretty good value. I suspect that at full price and without other mitigating factors (kids, need to walk over a floor quickly after cleaning, something that makes cleaning more challenging) a buyer might feel its less value than I do but certainly for people in my position I can recommend it.

Good cleaner, but be careful
This is a good cleaner that works well - it is not a heavy duty cleaner but will cope with most domestic hard floors. It is easy and quick to use daily - its 4 times as fast as a mop - and over a period of time it improves a floor's appearance, simply by more frequent, faster repetitive cleaning . It can also polish floors using any number of floor polishes. I would recommend buying a spare set of Pads as every time I have used it, the pads have turned from bright white to a very dirty brown - into the washing machine they go. The machine is relatively cheap, but it does have running costs of replacement pads every so often, cleaning fluids (the bissell fluid is £13/l) and the cost of frequent washing of pads. There is one thing to be very careful of. When changing the pads, check the little screws in the centre of the black pad holders that the scrub pads attach to. These can work loose and stick out - screw them back in fast if you see this happening. The reason for this is that if you use the machine with a screw sticking out to any extent, it will damage the threading in the part the screw fits into - which means it will not hold the screw. It will probably run fine without the screw for a while , but it will wear faster and break sooner, and you risk the pad holder falling off through gravity. This could be fixed with a small amount of PTFE tape or similar on the screw when the product is made to help its grip the threading and reduce the loosening effects of vibration whilst in use. From my experience, if you feel wobbling whilst the cleaner is in use, it is likely that a screw has come loose. All in all it works well if you deal with the above.

great machine
I bought this as my new karndean flooring said that it was not guaranteed if you used a steam mop i have a big area and was using a hand mop and was getting very tired and not getting good clean i researched heavily and felt although quite expensive this was the best deal i am delighted , it seemed heavy when i got it out of the box but because the spinning discs glide it across the florr it is not at all heavy to use. It glides easily, cleans beautifully, usese very little cleaner and water yet does a dazzeling job, the floors have never looked as beautiful. i highly recomed this machine despite the price . It is easy to use it folds at the bottom making it easy to hang up and store, it clicks into place upright if you need to leave it and move furniture so it doesn't wobble and fall over it leaves the floor almost dry and it does an excellent job i bought a pack of 4 extra pads bit actually they wash up so well in the washing machine i didn't need to buy the extra i would recommend this machine to anyone it has made cleaning the floors a pleasant job

Love it
I love this! Getting old now and can’t kneel down to scrub floors, tried steam mops but find them useless, so thought I would try this. Very pleased with how easy it is to use, how much dirt it removes, just wish there was a pad with little bristles on to get in groves.

A bit of a bother to use and the novelty wore off quickly.
Edited to add update. The novelty soon wore off. I hardly use it, it is so much easier to get the mop out. The lead isn’t long enough to let me get to where I need to go to the high traffic areas. Then if you don’t get the pads on correctly you end up just fighting the machine trying to get it where you need it. I had to buy extra pads as obviously they get dirty and if you don’t change them you end up spinning dirty pads and just end up moving the muck across the floor. Then you have the hassle of getting the clean pads back on the machine fighting it back over the swirls of dirt from the first pass. What I didn’t consider when buying this was the fact that I would have to wash the pads. Even if I use 8 it’s nowhere near a load of washing then you have to find a suitable wash to put them in with (like dog towels) which we didn’t have over the summer so the dirty pads just sit in front of the washing machine looking whist full. I am about to drag it out as I have a load of dog towels to wash so may as well make it a full load although I am not looking forward to it and am basically procrastinating updating this review. I have been hankering after this cleaner for about a year reading all the reviews and finally took the chance as an early Christmas present to myself. It was put together really easily which put my mind at rest as some of the reviews complained that the head did not slotting to the handle part very easily. I did not have a problem with this just click the handle in and it was ready to go. There was a little bit of cardboard in the slot so check that you have removed this before you try to fit the handle. The bottle was easy to fill with the product and water and was easy to fit back into the machine. The pads are a little fiddly to get into position. You just then switch on the machine spray a little bit of water and off you go. The mop was easy to use, although if you don’t get the pads on straight the machine tends to go in whatever way it wants to. I just let it do its own thing and followed it around. I did not have to use any pressure I just let the pads and their motion do the scrubbing. It works well on my wooden floors and on the slate floors and leave no marks however, it does tend to leave swirls on my quarry tile floor. I don’t mind this as I tend to go over with a steam mop after I have mopped anyway (I don’t use harsh cleaning chemicals -dog’s paws-so use the steam to make sure that I have removed as much bacteria as possible I would do this even if I use a normal mop) Is it as good as a traditional mop? Just about. Is it easier than a traditional mop? Yes it is so much easier I can do my floors in about 10 minutes and not break into a sweat. I have five dogs who have access to a muddy field with free range chickens so you can imagine the amount of mud they bring into the house. I don’t need to scrub to remove the mud just trot around following the mop. If like me you will use this daily then you will need to buy additional cleaning pads, the four that it comes with are just not enough. I will update the review after I have used the mop for a month to check that it keeps working as some of the reviews state that the mop stopped working after a couple of weeks. I have kept the box just in case.
