Printed plastic beads. Very obvious even before they were removed from cellophane package. Sent back.

This was a gift for my boyfriend. He loved it! He wears it as a necklace and it looks very nice.

●The mala is on an elastic band, which makes it seem less sturdy than typical mala, but it can double as a bracelet. It also seems smaller than most mala because the beads don't have space in between. I am considering cutting the elastic and stringing it together myself.●The wood is high quality but a lacquer of some sort makes them look like plastic at first glance.●They had the correct number of beads.

The sandalwood was much darker than the online picture.
