Ernie Ball John Mayer Silver Slinky, Sliver slinky gauge set of 10.5, 13.5, 17.5, 27, 37, 47. Said to be “perfectly tailored” to the man himself. I been experimenting and was curious to see what the the custom string set would be like. I usually use 10s and these being effectively thicker i was wondering what the impact would be in regards to bends. Ive used 11s and personally they didn't suit my play style so being in the middle. The top string being slightly thicker it is noticeable and bends are better and easier than 11s. I also enjoyed the tones they provided. These are a solid option for any Strats

Excellent strings. Felt super smooth to play and slide on. And still high quality even after a month or so of playing.

Great strings! Mayer may not be to your taste as they are 10....5! ... I'll get me coat. And they come in a cool tin box which sold it for me.

Fantastic strings perfect gauge being 10.5 etc sound fantastic on my strat & silver sky if your after that that sweet chin or that grime when need be they are for you long lasting beat strings I rather these then Dadario

Pretty much like any other set of slinky strings in terms of feel, sound and durability, they are a solid set of strings. Difficult to recommend these over the Mega slinky pack as they are almost virtually the same gauge for a higher price so I can really only recommend these if you strongly feel you would benefit from the 1000th of an inch drop from 28, 38 and 48 to 27,37 and 47 on the wound strings and the RPS technology on the unwound strings. Otherwise I would go for the cheaper Mega Slinky pack.

This string guage sits exactly where I want my telecaster to be. Good for E standard and D standard. Wouldn't want to go lower than D on the lowest string, will become floppy.

Decent strings, nice tin, but over-priced by some margin. I prefer StringJoy strings, and you can custom order exactly what gauge strings you need at no extra cost.

John got it right! Really like the slightly different gauges on these strings… fits my playing and sounds great. I’ve used Slinky’s anyway for years, so these feel like a step in the right direction

Tiempo de uso: de abril 2025 a finales de noviembre 2025, 5 días de la semana de 3 a 5 horas Tipo de uso: rudo e inapropiado Guitarra utilizada: Telecaster con puente fijo moderno de 25.5 pulgadas Afinaciones utilizadas: E estándar (abril a mayo), Eb y D estandar (junio a septiembre) E estándar (septiembre a noviembre) Muy buenas cuerdas a elegir, pase de unas 9-44 a estás por curiosidad, al principio las sentía muy duras pero con el paso de un mes y medio me acostumbré y me gustaron mucho, buen sustain y duraderas. Toque todo tipo de géneros pero más rock, blues y metal, en este último hacia bends agresivos y sin cuidado, me sorprende que haya resistido bien a los cambios de afinación, ya que había veces donde era necesario que cambiará de D estandar a E estándar y volviera a la afinación anterior, pensaba que se irían a romper por los bends pero muy sorprendentemente resistieron. El cambio se debe al tiempo de uso, al sonido ya un tanto opaco y que ya están negras en varias partes. Al parecer es normal que se pongan de ese color al poco tiempo, a mí me paso a la semana, y también perdieron brillo, a la semana, que ya se notó el sonido un poco más apagado. También resistieron bien al sudor, agua y bebidas azucaradas que por accidente fueron derramadas, quedó bastante satisfecho, lo único malo es el color que adquirieron al muy poco tiempo, con lo demás estoy más que satisfecho.

Great strings. Strong, slight stiffness to them and great sound. Love that their John Mayer and the packaging with John Mayer on it was very nice.
