No CO2 cylinder included. No instructions where to get one. Barely works when you do get one.
TL:DR version: Doesn't include a cylinder. Uses classic blue S0dastream screw in cylinders. Barely carbonates the water. Utter waste of time, and no logical reason for it to cost so much.First of all it doesn't come with a CO2 cylinder. I read the instruction manual cover to cover, well, the English bit. It tells you how to install the cylinder, but doesn't say where to get on. There's no space in the packaging so it's not like it was missing by accident. To recap, no cylinder no mention of how to get one.I did an online search and apparently they use S0dastream cylinders. This thing costs £250 and uses the same cylinder as a S0dastream you can buy for £70. To be fair, it uses the "classic" blue screw in cylinder not the new push in one.I hit up my phone and found a relative with a S0dastream they don't use and borrowed two cylinders off them. They tried to give me the machine, bottles and some sorry looking syrup as well, but I demurred. At the time.Fitted the heavier of the two cylinders, which I assumed would be the one with most gas in it.Placed the glass, hit the "button". Water splutters everywhere, eventually most of it going in the glass. Take a sip and it's not very carbonated and it has a bit of an odd taste (which I assume is the "spring water" effect - can't say I'm a fan). Tossed that, tried again, this time holding the glass right under the spout, on the assumption that the ten inch drop to the glass is probably causing most of the gas to be lost on the way down. Nope, the second glass isn't any better. Now you may be thinking maybe the cylinder wasn't actually charged SO I went to Arg0s and exchanged the lighter cylinder (almost definitely discharged) for a new one. Tried again, same result. The water in the glass bubbles for about two seconds after being filled but is virtually flat afterwards. I'm not sure why I thought it would be any different.A S0dastream injects C02 into a sealed bottle under pressure, causing more CO2 to be absorbed than you'd get at atmospheric pressure. Same with a soda siphon. The Carbon8 is taking water from a tank and adding CO2 to it under pressure BUT it isn't giving it a chance to absorb it, or it's being almost instantly released once it hits the nozzle. No idea why this exists. You could buy 1000L, literally 1000L of supermarket sparkling water (chlorine free) for the cost of this, and that doesn't include having to buy a cylinder to make it work.Avoid - this is a gimmick you'll see on blogs and Youtube videos but will regret buying.

The media could not be loaded. Seems to be well made and thought out, works well 👍One bad point is that the water sprays out a little but hold the glass up and there’s no problem
