Version: StrikeAce E Metal T-GripThis is my first HOTAS, so I don’t have much to compare it to—but I’m seriously impressed. I use it mainly for Star Citizen, Squad helicopters, and DCS, and it’s been awesome.The build quality is excellent—mostly metal, very solid, and not flimsy at all. I chose the E version over the EX, and I’m glad I did. The E has plenty of buttons for my needs, and honestly, I’m not sure I’m coordinated enough to make use of all the extras on the EX throttle anyway.The software is easy to use and only needs to be run when configuring the stick and throttle. Once it’s set up, you don’t need to keep it running—it doesn’t need to take up system resources in the background.The set arrived well-packaged, with no damage. It comes in boxes with Chinese labeling, but assembly wasn’t too difficult. It doesn’t include printed instructions, but a quick YouTube search made things clear.Overall, I’m very happy with this setup and would recommend it to anyone getting into flight sims.

This HOTAS set is definitely for enthusiasts. It is made of metal and some plastic, but it is of high quality.The seller was great and answered my questions promptly before I purchased. They arrive much quicker than if I had ordered directly.I purchased from Amazon because the Winwing official site didn't work. I could not even place an order; the browser would just blank out. I wonder how much business they lose to this. However, I'm glad I did. I now have Amazon's backing for any after-sales support if needed.For the enthusiasts.These are not plug-and-play; some assembly is required, and no instructions are included. There are PDFs you can download, but they are minimal, to say the least. Just drawings and no explanation.I recommend watching as many YouTube videos as possible while they are being shipped, taking what you learn from each, and assembling them. It's not difficult, but it's not obvious.SimAppProYou will need to download SimAppPro from the Winwing website. This allows you to update the firmware, test and calibrate the Throttle and Joystick, and more.SimAppPro is also supposed to allow you to download and run preset keybindings for DSC and MSFS. Although I could download and run them, none of them appeared in MSFS. This left me no choice but to key bind everything myself manually.Back to my enthusiast's comment, be prepared to put in some effort to key bind. You can start with the essentials, start flying, and then build from there as needed. This will take weeks, if not months, to complete. Don't get me wrong; you can fly once you have bound the essential; you will just keep adding more and more as the needs arise.The quality of the product is exceptional, and it is upgradeable. You can add different joysticks to the base and different throttle types to the throttle base.If you want a great HOTAS set and are willing to put in the work, you cannot find a better set; however, if you want out-of-the-box plug-and-play, look elsewhere.Winwing, you have a great product, but you must provide better instructions or official assembly videos.I recommend that you have a direct download of working profiles for DCS and MSFS. No matter what I tried or how many times I tried it, the SimAppPro method did not work. It was such a bad experience I was about to return this product, but third-party forum support persuaded me to go the manual key binding route as it's worth it.

Game changer over using a keyboard and mouse,Or a lower end hotas.At a price close to the warthog set, but built much better.Has a real gimble, not a ball cup. All buttons and switches feel real, and clicky, no need to upgrade this, it’s one of the best hotas made.Was sent quickly, very happy with this hotas, and the seller.Wish they also sold the rudder pedals!

you NEED to watch you tube videos to put it together.Stick feels fantastic (no hard click in the center). doesn't fight you.HOWEVER throttle arms have STICTION. = ( leave them and 3 minutes later they're stuck and need more force to get them free again... then slide nicely until they are left for a couple minutes again. (some special lube was recommended I'll try that).

The hardware is top notch.unfortunately you need to use Simapp pro to use the hardware and it seems like they constantly have issues with the download not working... its not a new issue, people have been complaining about it for 6-7 months at least.oh.. and theres no alternate download site.

The media could not be loaded. This is arguably the BEST HOTAS you can buy for DCS or MSFS, without breaking the bank - Period! It's the perfect pairing for any serious FA/18 (or F15E/16) enthusiast.

CAUTION !!! Item was delivered in a crushed box, product was delivered over multiple days in separate boxes without notice, Main part of the flight stick was damaged, & Customer service was condescending.All Items were sent back to them within 2 days and now that all of the product is back in their warehouse, they're telling me it might be at least 2 weeks to be refunded my money. The products themselves may be top notch...WHEN THEY ARE NOT CRUSHED IN TRANSIT, but the caliber of customer service is "SUB BASEMENT". If you're looking for winwing products, do yourself a HUGE FAVOR.....FIND A DIFFERENT VENDOR, BECAUSE ONCE THESE PEOPLE HAVE YOUR MONEY , IT APPEARS TO TAKE A CROWBAR TO GET IT BACK IF YOU RETURN THE PRODUCT. After this incident, Id give ZERO STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE. UNLESS YOU HAVE at LEAST 10 DAYS TO WAIT FOR YOUR PAID FOR PRODUCTS, OR HAVE TIME TO WAIT WEEKS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK........FIND OTHER VENDORS
