keep spares of these valves on hand to ensure a/c equipment does not detect a false vehicle leak
I purchased this item and its companion low-pressure (blue knob) service valve independently since the combined set was overpriced compared to previous same-purchase last year. Waited for sale on these individual high/low valves so that 2 individual purchased combined matched pricing on set from previous purchase. The valves seem solid and have proved to be durable; but due to the nature of these valves they are not guaranteed to remain leak-free indefinitely. For this reason we keep ample supply of valves on-hand to prevent a/c equipment from otherwise falsely flagging an a/c leak on a vehicle. The delivery time was as expected but would have preferred not to have waited so long for price to drop to reasonable levels, so deduct one star only. There are cheaper choices out there, but a/c machines are very sensitive to leaks when hooked up to the vehicle; so minimize the risk of a false flag and get quality Robinair valves and replaced whenever needed.

Works great
I actually bought this to replace an older valve I used to stop a leak in an emergency. I just popped it on top of his schrader valve.

Well built, but won't fit.
This is well made, very solid, but I cannot get it connected to my 2003 Mazda protege 2.0 ac discharge connection, no matter how much force I put in to nearly breaking the line. It just won't lock into the locking groove. I had to use a cheaper connecter to get the job done.

The knob is a little tight.
