I've tried several ways to get 4 years worth of photos and videos off my mobile phone, and this memory stick was the easiest way to tackle the task. On my particular phone the longest I can set to keep the screen awake is 30 minutes, so it took 6 sessions to download everything - make sure your battery is fully charged (the first couple of times it dropped from 100% - 30%). Did a 2nd backup on to my computer afterwards, which completed very fast. Good quality, and comes in a sturdy storage box.

Does the job but I had to reboot it a few times. Seems to freeze for no reason. It's done the job so would still buy it again.

Just stored photos as expected

This is basically a USB stick with some extras.And it is also not just a plastic USB stick. It is surprisingly heavy, metal housing. The housing has a cover, also metal, which can rotate, but unlike cheaper sticks, this cover has notches at 90 degree intervals, holding it there spring loaded. In "cover the USB A port" position that is much better when transporting it in a bag with other stuff around.The next part is the cross shape multi connector. The female end plugged onto the USB A of the stick has the plugs for USB C, lightning and Micro USB, which is basically all current ports for phones and laptops. The lightning and the Micro USB are outdated meanwhile, but still in use on older devices.The capacity is big enough for some videos, but note also that older WIN 7 PCs can handle only max 32 GB sticks, not bigger like this one.The third "item" coming with it is a backup software. You can ignore that for normal use. But for people who like to use it as auto backup they can install this software, and when plugged into the phone the backup automatically starts. I have no way to test it, but I guess it works. The good quality impression of the item continues on the manual, which explains a lot about different OP systems and how to use it.The packing it comes in is good for giving it as a gift, best suitable for a family/group of people with legacy and modern phones and laptops, they all can use it, for sharing files for example from one device to the other.The opening for a key ring or rope is big, so you could use colored shoe laces to still see it if falls on a hike into a bunch of leaves.It is not cheap, so hopefully it lasts long. Time will tell.
