NIGHT & DAY Furniture Murphy Cube Cabinet Bed (White, Queen)

I am really really Impressed with this cabinet bed. Very hesitant to order it due to the price, and also due to my past experience ordering furniture on line and having to put it together. It arrived in less than a week. I was not expecting it so thank goodness we were home. Two boxes. One for Mattress that was vacuum sealed and thus fit in a smaller box. And the other was the actual bed. Very sturdy wood here. Not pressboard or anything. The majority of it was already assembled, so I would say about 10 pieces in all. The hardware included to put it together was of great quality. I have put online furniture together in the past and the hardware was cheap, missing or did not work with the pre drilled holes. Not here. Everything worked perfectly. We did use some wood glue where there were wood dowels used to help hold things together. We also used a cordless drill that saved time. Took two people about 1.5 hours to unpack and assemble. Went together well without having divorce court. There is a nice space to keep bed linens/pillows when it is closed up. easy to open and close and one person can do it. Hubby and I laid out on it when finished and we were amazed how comfortable the mattress was and how sturdy it was with two average sized people on it. We even tossed and turned a bit to test creaking and strength and it did not move or creak at all. Highly recommend this cabinet bed and the manufacturer (Night and Day furniture) did a great job with quality, materials, and instructions (including assembly videos if you wanted to watch them). I tried to contact the seller to determine delivery day but I got no response. Well done Night and Day Furniture!

I highly recommend this piece of furniture and the dealer, Spencer Discount Furnitrue. This is my first review on Amazon. I was nervous when I ordered this Cube Bed—it is the biggest purchase (both in size and $$$) that I have ever made on line. I read these reviews and it seemed like exactly what I needed to make my smallish study into a comfortable inviting guestroom (usually guests were relegated to a series of aerobeds that worked ‘til they didn’t). I did the measuring and ordered the queen size. It is perfect! It is easy to set up as a bed. The finish on the piece (I got the cherry) is gorgeous. It is actually more formal and polished than the picture on line (which looks more rustic). It is sturdy and made with solid wood panels and sturdy latches and fittings. It took my adult son a couple leisurely hours to assemble on his own. He reports that it is very comfortable (“the most comfortable temporary bed I have ever slept on”). I also have to give a BIG shout out to Spencer Discount Furniture. I got an initial email from them discussing scheduling delivery and I had some questions and I called them and Chad was great! He patiently answered my questions. When the pieces were delivered, my son and I unpacked them and found a piece had broken off one of the major component parts. This had clearly happened in shipping. I immediately sent an email with pictures and then called Spencer. Chad not only answered, but remembered our previous conversation. He immediately stated he would send a replacement component the next day. We received the replacement part and it was perfect. I give this piece a 5 star rating despite the need to replace a component because things can get hurt in cross-country transit (it shipped from Arizona and I am in Maryland). All you can ask is that there is prompt, courteous and satisfactory follow up. I got that and am extremely pleased with this beautiful and functional piece of furniture.

It seemed like it happened overnight: one day, I had a middle-school kid. The next, I had a high-schooler who towered over me. I knew it was time to move him out of a full-sized bed, but I had no idea how a queen bed would ever fit in his room. Where would his friends hang out when he had friends over? I felt like a Murphy bed would be a great answer, but I couldn't do a wall unit because of windows, doors, closets, ceiling fan,...there wasn't available wall space. And that's when I found this little gem. My town didn't have a good Murphy bed store, so I was at the whim of Amazon. I comparison shopped and chose this one in the chocolate brown color, and this particular seller was the most economical way to have it purchased and shipped. I'm not going to lie: there was an issue with shipping - not only was it a few days behind what *I* had been expecting, the mattress also got separated from the bed at the last location so it arrived the following day. All in all though, once I put the bed together (which didn't take too long and wasn't very difficult at all), I could see the wonderful quality of this bed. It is easy to make it into a bed and to fold it into a cube, and it looks great. The best part, though, is how it feels and my son loves it. He's about 5'9" and says it's the best sleep he's ever had. I've tried the mattress out a few times and I, too, can't believe that I'm on a Murphy bed when I lay on it. You can't feel the platform slats at all. We just went with the standard mattress, no topper or anything, and it's incredibly buoyant and supportive without being hard. I was under the assumption this was going to ship "Prime," because that's how it was listed, but you do have to wait for the shipping company to contact you. Some others might dock a star for that, but I'm reviewing only the quality of the bed itself. Everything was in excellent condition and I'm really happy with this purchase. It's scary to go "sight unseen" on such an expensive and permanent furniture item, but I'm really glad I did. For "losing" my mattress temporarily for a day, the company did make it right and refund a portion of the purchase price. That goes a long way in my book. I didn't make a video because it took my husband and I 3 hours to put together the parts. The directions were good for the most part, except it was hard to see where some of the dowels went. It was pretty logical. The only place we had a problem was putting the side panels on the top frame. The directions didn't indicate front and back so I made a guess on the left and right sides. It looks great and very solid furniture. Haven't tried out the mattress yet but I think it will be comfortable for our guests.

We bought this Murphy bed for our spare bedroom on Sunday and it was delivered on Wednesday. The company called right after ordering to confirm order and make sure I understood shipping. It is well made - wood not pressboard. Instructions are easy to understand and it took my husband and I less than an hour to unpack, take the pieces to the second floor, and put together. This will be a great addition to our guest bedroom without taking up too much extra space. The only issue we have is that someone put the stickers noting the back of the top piece on incorrectly and we need to figure out how to remove without messing up the stain.

We bought this bed to put in our study. We have a relatively small house with one guest room, Frequently having the need for more than one guest room, this helps to solve our problem. When not in use, this bed has a relatively small footprint. In our study, we can fold it out and sleep a couple quite comfortably. One thing that I should mention is that it sits a little low on the floor so it may be difficult for those more elderly, or those with knee problems. I am 70 years old and have knee problems and I can still get up, The assembly was relatively easy with one exception. There is a point when we couldn’t tell which of two pieces went on the left side and which went on the right, alas, we mixed them up and had to reverse them. We knew immediately what had happened and within a few minutes had them reversed and the bed assembled. It is very pretty and does hold some bedding which is nice. All in all, this is a very good answer to limited space for guests. I would even use it if the space wasn’t limited.

I have a small house and really wanted a Murphy bed, but my guest area is in a finished basement with low ceilings. I decided to take a gamble with this Murphy cabinet bed, which was thousands of dollars less expensive than the other cabinet beds I had seen. Five years later and I remain absolutely thrilled with this purchase. Once assembled, it is so easy to set the bed up and then return it to cabinet form. I'm a fairly small person and it takes me only a few minutes to make up the bed (including putting sheets on it). It's also a very comfortable bed! My spouse and I wound up using it nightly for four months when our upstairs was being renovated and our backs did not complain at all. Our guests have loved it, too. It also looks quite nice when in cabinet form. No one realizes it's a bed!

The cabinet bed itself is great and putting it together was pretty simple! Such a great alternative to a traditional wall Murphy bed! I will echo some of the things previous people have commented- not a bed for people weighing over 250 or for two plus sized sleepers- for us this is not an issue though and my husband is 6’4” and comfortable on the mattress. We had a bit of an issue with the mattress cover we initially received- but the owner of SDS cabinet beds was super kind, helpful, and understanding. He sent us a full replacement mattress right away. I really appreciated it! Thank you SDS!
