Cheap and comes apart. Possible fire hazard!
This may be a little long-winded review but give me a country minute to entertain you and explain what happened when I ordered this non-OEM part because of the 4.5/5 Amazon rating and Prime delivery. After bringing my RV out of storage and doing annual generator maintenance - to include an instructed hand-tightened, not over-torqued fuel filter swap - I proceed on a 450-mile Wednesday journey to my hometown to catch a 4-day rock festival with my local buddies. I arrive and top off my 55-gallon fuel tank because I know I am going to be using the gennie quite a bit that weekend. Now, this ain’t Daytona. I’m talking middle of the country rural race track. Friday comes and we smell a very strong gasoline odor and wet, black-stained grass in the vicinity of my generator as well as fuel pooled along the inside of the generator case. Upon troubleshooting we discovered that the fuel filter body had detached from the flange and was spinning (as described in other Amazon reviews that I am now seeing after the fact.) Well I’m in the middle of nowhere and after luckily hunting down a 9/16” deep well socket from a fellow camper to remove this bad (read ‘new’) filter to stop this leak unsuccessfully, I had to call in a Friday night favor and locate a professional willing to bring me a good filter and new fuel pump (just in case). One of my friends was like “We are missing (the band) ‘In Flames’!” I said “Bro…do you want to see ‘In Flames’ or do you want TO BE in flames?” How are we going to fix this problem at this huge event in such a rural area on a WEEKEND? After making several calls-for-a-favor (luckily my BFF is a well-known local county LEO with connections), finally a nice, professional, church-going gentleman well-known by his nickname with a mobile RV repair business gets permission to enter the venue and he makes his way through a crowd of about 30,000 people - at a rate of $150 an hour - to save our weekend! At this point, I don’t care because this man is worth his weight in gold. He proceeded to swap these parts quicker than a shake of a jack rabbit’s tail with OEM and we talked for a few minutes about how good his BBQ was that was cooked on his pit for a church fund raiser. Unknowingly that BBQ happened to be my breakfast the previous day. Such a small world. Anyway, we made it to the mosh pit just in time to see my favorite French band that came all the way from their home country to entertain me. But had it not been for this gentleman we could have possibly caused a fire that may have hurt – or dare I say killed – my neighbors and destroyed several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of other RVs in my immediate area. Not to mention the mortification of causing such a horrendous scene at this massive event. Now who wants that kind of attention? Pretty important part that ended up costing me another $471 in an anxiety-inducing situation. Not cool, man. Don’t be cheap. Choose wisely. This 3rd-party manufacturer may need to revisit its quality control practices and I recommend this vendor find a better parts source to remain favorable with customers. Jus’ sayin’…

Perfect match
Filter was a perfect match to our generator.

Onan fuel pump
So far so good. Works like it should. Hoping it lasts longer than the original stock pump, 1 year with about 5 hours on it.
