The media could not be loaded. The 205A MIG welder is amazing.A friend of mine owns an ARCCAPTAIN MIG200, and I had the chance to use it before. It was a great experience! So when I started looking for a welding machine, arccaptain naturally came to mind. The design of this MIG welder and its app control features really caught my eye, so I decided to give this "Pro" MIG welder a try.When I opened the box, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it included most of the essential accessories to MIG or stick weld. I try the MIG Welding first. I welded 1/8" thick steel, it produced a really nice weld. The wire feed was incredibly smooth and consistent.Anyway, it is convenient to instal wire as The wire feed compartment has plenty of space and design with a LED. Then, i tried the stick welding with 6013 1/8" rods. It draws a nice bead. After a quick test, I’m really satisfied with this welder. The welding experience is so much better than my old machine.It also has many other features, like lift tig and aluminum welding, which I plan to test out on a project next week. I’m really looking forward to it.The welder has a large, clear screen that makes it really easy to use. Even with all its features, it’s simple to operate and you can quickly get the hang of it. You can set the burn-back time, inductance. You can welding with 2T or 4T as you like. When you doing spot welding, you could set the spot time, too. It is a very professional welder! All of these are very easy to set. In other way, if you just a beginner, i think you could open the "Syn" mode for MIG welding, you just need to know which metal you want to weld and set, then you could start, you no need to know how to set the professional parameters in this mode.It is beginner friendly, too.That’s been my experience with the welding , but what I find most interesting is the app control feature. It’s a very innovative design. I set it up on my phone and saved the settings. It allows me to store some data. The setup on the phone is even clearer.The MIG205PRO welder is really lightweight and compact, At least it's a lot more portable than my old welder. Making it easy to carry around from one job to the next. Whether you're working in a shop or on a job site, it doesn’t take up much space and can easily be moved in and out of tight areas. The handle is sturdy and comfortable, adding to the convenience of transporting it wherever you need.Overall, this is an excellent value welder, and I really like it.

This is a surprisingly good little 120V flux core/stick welder. I've used this welder for several projects and it has performed flawlessly. It has a decent duty cycle both flux core and stick. The only negative for this machine is that while it can run at 145A it will pop the 120V 20A circuit breaker after about 30 seconds. It will weld flux core in synergic mode up to .120 steel thickness. It will weld 3/32 7018, 7014 rods at 90A with no problem. It's best to use rods that will run on AC or DC as they run smoothly. It has insufficient open circuit voltage to run 6010 or 6011 rods. The ArcCaptain flux core wire E71T-GS runs very hot and well on this machine for single pass welds. I have run 1/8 7018 rods on this machine at 125 A but I plug into a 120V 30A RV plug with an adaptor. The machine handles it for 1-2 rods but the cord gets warm so caution in advised. It feeds wire evenly but you have to be careful to adjust the tensions correctly. Overall, a very good little machine that is very light making it easily portable. I have also run off my 8500 W generator with no problems so it can be used in the field. Again I sometimes use the 120V30A plug for higher amperage welds. For the price this is an excellent choice that I recommend. Final point is that the customer service was fast and responsive. I asked a few questions and always got an answer by the following morning. Good little welder!

Got into welding @ 1 year ago. Had a Harbor Freight 125 MIG and had issues perfecting the bead. It did a good job, but alot of splattering, and pitting. Bought the ArchCaptain (economics), wow, laid down my first try with the welders defaults with the most perfect smooth bead the forst time. In fact with this machine, I need to pull my welds faster compared to thin the welds. This is a great welder, very vesitile, and I especially love the rotating/flexabilty of the ball joint design of the torch and feed cable. Objectly having studied so many tutorials, and watching welders, this puppy could be caalled a semi pro unit.

This is a great welding machine for the house. I was surprised how well it worked for the $$$ spent.

Worked great easy to use. Only draw back is they recommend a 50 amp circuit with 110 volts not realistic. 30 max.

This welding machine is a good starter. Like they say practice makes perfect. I been on this thing everyday just practicing. I work at a fabrication shop so I got all the metal scraps I need.

This welder is awesome. It welds with no effert and very minimal splatter. I highly recommend this for everyone even beginners. It's that easy to use.
