Q: Do i need to put some sort of mat underneath to avoid it burning my wooden table?

I use a little coaster, or table runner. I don’t think it would but I didn’t chance it.

You can use any wax melts with this as all wax melts do the same thing

Yes the wax me.t does sit in the top. They are really pretty when a t’light is inserted, the light shines through the holes. I have three of these, they are lovely.
