Yellowstone: A Journey Through America's Wild Heart

I was expecting a lot more photos & only some writing. The OVER abundance of words took away from the pleasure I was expecting of the photos, considering the cover . Very disappointing! It’s going straight to the thrift store.

I haven't read it yet, but the pictures are beautiful and there seems to be a lot of good information, just skimming through. We purchased to read for homeschool ahead of our planned rv trip to Yellowstone this summer. My disappointment is that it's supposedly new, but the binding is ripped and some pages are wrinkled, like they got wet at some point. Amazon's fault, not the book itself. If you're selling a book as new, it should actually be new, not a return.

Didn’t impressed us

We went to Yellowstone and our phone cameras just didn’t do it justice. I gave this to my hubby for Fathers Day and he likes it! He says it’s very interesting.

This is a really nice book, lots of pictures , but there is plenty of text too.

More of a tea party book than coffee table!

This book provides a very eloquent introduction to Yellowstone. Beautifully written, superb photography, insightful and very helpful as a survey of the history, geology, and biology of Yellowstone. Highly recommended.

I got this as a gift for my mom, who is also a big fan of Quammen's work, and still keeps physical books around, and she loves it.

De retour d’un séjour à Yellowstone je voulais continuer mon voyage dans ce merveilleux parc national. Le livre est simplement superbe tant par la diversité et la qualité des photos et des textes. De plus le format est très bien cela ne fait pas un gros livre on peut ainsi s’y replonger à volonté. Bravo à David Quammen pour les photos uniques d animaux dans leur milieu naturel (souvent prises automatiquement par un appareil autonome posé à même dans le milieu naturel donc sans artifice ce qui rend la photo incroyablement vraie de naturel)Je conseille vraiment ce livre pour tous les amoureux de Yellowstone.
