Amazing Sub with the Right Research
I’ll start by saying I never write reviews. With that said, I’m writing this for anyone who is questioning whether to buy this item or not. First, this sub puts out plenty of base for those looking to add some depth to their songs. This sub will provide plenty of base without rattling or being heard through a neighborhood. However, it will provide the perfect amount within the car and trust me it is plenty loud. Now with that said, it won’t compare to competition sub or anything along that sort, if you’re wanting to be unable to hear your music than look elsewhere, but, if you want plenty of base that isn’t overpowering than this is an excellent sub especially for the price. Second, do your research. Know how subs work and what amps they need to be paired with. You can’t just hook up any amp and think it will work. You’ll likely blow your new sub. The RMS rating for this is 250. I picked up a kicker 400 watt Mono amp and adjusted the gain to match the 4 ohm reading using a volt meter and adjusting for a certain voltage (FYI you must use a sign wave and use AC current readings as that’s what amps run on). A bigger amp with cause distortion and make a great sub like this sound terrible. In this case smaller is actually better to produce great quality sound on the plus side, it’s cheaper too. To some this up, this is an amazing sub once again but do your research and wire this correctly it can make a stock head unit and speakers sound great as with my case!

Great sub for the price
I have a Tacoma and Tacoma owners know how bad the stock stereo system is,I added this in the back of my access cab with an amp, changed the 6x9 doors with Rockford Fosgate speakers and added 2 Kicker tweeters in the dash, sounds great now.

Amazing for the price
I was on the fence with this. It’s a newer concept and I don’t know how this sub compares to the S or R series and it’s their “budget” solution. I bought it for my old trailblazer. Strapped behind the rear seat. Powering it with a fosgate punch 600X4 amp one side bridged and the bass is smooth, loud, and AMAZING for almost everything I listen to when amp and stereo eq is all tuned into my ears and vehicle acoustics. It doesn’t have quite the bass drum kick I would like but totally badass with techno style music and very decent with country. Rap listeners may want the 12” version instead but I’m happy with it with rap. NO REGRETS AT ALL.

Powerful subwoofer! It’s just a subwoofer, no amplifier built in.
Hopefully those looking for a great sounding subwoofer will do their research. This subwoofer is simple, it’s a speaker sub in a strong built sealed enclosure and nothing more. There are no built in adjustments. I got a matching Alpine amplifier that delivers the correct power and has the sub controls for baseline sound. The other sound adjustment that I made to the subwoofer were done through the head unit. The bass is deep and clean. Well done Alpine!

Not a sealed subwoofer ... But it's still good
I thought this was a sealed subwoofer per the title, but it's not... Thus one star knockdown! Having said that, this subwoofer plays loud and deep. There is a vent hole, and I tried to plug it, but it doesn't sound that good. Overall, my son is happy so I am happy... Hence a 4-star rating.

Perfect for a solid midrange system
Very tight bass. Ive had a few 10" bazooka tubes over the years and liked them but the bass that came out of them was never tight enough...(I dont listen to alot of hiphop). I figured I try something different and glad I did. For $50 cheaper than the Bazooka you absolutely cant go wrong. I coupled it with a Precision power I640 5 channel and 2 pairs of MB quart components. It wont win any stereo competitions but the highs mids and bass hit right at the perfect frequencies.....all ranges are very clear and very tight . Bass response isnt sluggish like the zooka. My system:Eonon 7 inch Touch Screen-GA2170BPrecision Power i640.5 640-Watt 5-Channel(2) Pairs MB QUART FSB216 6.5" 280 Watt Car Audio Component SpeakersAlpine SWT-S10 1200W Max (250W RMS) Single 10" Sealed Subwoofer

Ordered for a friend
I know this may sound weird but I ordered it for a friend. I was not looking for a speaker but he needed a new one for his boat. So I did him a favor and order this thing. I can tell you it produces very loud clear sound. It has a very nice balance to it. And I’m really tired of him testing it out at 10:30 at night. I’m not quite sure that I am pleased with this product because it works so well. If you buy one of these for somebody else you might want to make sure they live far away. If I need a speaker like this I buy this one.

Great till it blew
I loved this sub when it was working . It had great deep bass that hit hard.It is rated for 1500 watts , but only 350 rms watts .. l have a 1000 watt amp and the sub blew quickly when l bridged the amp . If I had continued run it out of one channel (500 watts) it would of been fine. But like I said it blew when bridged (full 1000 watts.) I returned it and upgraded it to a higher rated 600 watt rms Alpine subwoofer. Will let you know how it turns out .
