LEGO Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank (8098)

(I bought this for my 9-year old, and he is the one who prepared the review, under my supervision)First of all,this is a hard build. Don't buy for someone under 9. But this set is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A true lego collector has to have this set.You can store the little walker that come with this set in the main troop bay. For me, the mid-wheel breaks a bunch of times,but it is easy to fix.There are only 2 stickers in this set, which is good because I HATE STICKERS. Really nothing bad about this set ,except anakin again? Asokha again?Can't lego put in some minifigures to replace anakin and asokha? They are boring and plain. The wheels are really good and durable, because only after a bunch of rolls over a lego pile ,the middle wheel broke.So this is a great set,and I definitely recommend it.

The Turbo Tank is a great set. It's a fun build that takes a while, but the results are worth it. It's a lot sturdier than the Turbo Tank that came out a few years back. Lots of play features like the opening doors, working suspension and turrets on top. The carrying arm is very cool. Just like the one from the newer AT-TE, you raise the arm up from the top of the tank and you can carry it anywhere without worrying about anything falling off. The Anakin and Asohka minifigs are a little overused I think. I'd have rather seen either some more clones or two different Jedi. The Cad Bane and Aayla figs are great though. If you get a chance to pick this up, get it, you won't be disappointed.

This was purchased for my son's 10th birthday. He loves Legos and is a Star Wars nut, and this was at the top of his wishlist. I usually have some reservations about buying the larger Star Wars sets; mostly because the cost seems ridiculous. However, I was able to purchase this set on Amazon for less than I found anywhere else.My son was thrilled to receive this. At first, though, he was daunted by the number of pieces and two instruction booklets. After a week or so of starting and giving up in frustration, he got serious and spent the better part of a Sunday putting the piece together. He was challenged and had to stop and think a few times, but he was able to finish it himself. The finished product was actually pretty cool, and a lot more substantial than I expected.Overall, a good, challenging toy for any kid that loves Legos.

Our grandson requested and received for his fifth birthday. We could not believe that he built the majority of this tank in one day, at five years of age, with just a little help from eight year old brother. Very impressed with the quality and the size when finished. Also realized how education LEGO toys can be as far as eye-hand coordination, creating thought processes, figuring out problems, etc. Happy little boy, very happy grandparents. Dealer most helpful in getting the gift there on time. Pleasant buying experience. Best price around too!

Who does not like Legos? Its great father and son time putting these larger sets together. I loved the spring type suspension this tank has. It is easy to move about and stays together quite well despite aggresive play. Any Lego will fall apart if you treat them harshley. I like the style of this tank as well and just looks cool up on the shelf. Putting a Lego set together is good therapy for the adults even better than a puzzle. Enjoy!

We gave my 9-year-old son the LEGO Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank for Christmas. It took him the better part of Christmas day to assemble the tank without ANY parental assistance, and he hasn't stopped playing with it or showing it off to his friends since then. Its size, sophistication and features are all impressive. I can strongly recommend this LEGO product to any youngster who is already familiar with how LEGO systems are assembled, and for LEGO Star Wars fans, this may be the best product they have developed to date.

Don't buy this product there are missing pieces and its a knock off, very disappointing

We bought this for my son for Christmas. He is almost 7 and he had struggled a little putting it together due to the size and number of pieces, so we did it together. It made for great family time. We bought it for him because he really wanted it but also because he puts the 7-9 year old ones together within an hour of opening them. We love the legos because it helps him with his imagination and skills of putting things together, taking them apart, putting them back together or creating something new. He loves his Legos and plays everyday with them.
