It’s definitely a great complement to what comes with the machine. The dough hook and wire whisks included with the Bosch Universal are great for heavy doughs and whipping, but this cake paddle fills the gap for medium-consistency batters. It mixes more gently and thoroughly than the wire whisks when you don’t want to overmix. I find it works much better for cakes, muffins, and pancake batter than the standard attachments. A really useful add-on if you do a lot of baking beyond bread and whipped items.
