Great zap!
Inexpensive for the zap it provides. Love the short light, knowing there's a short to begin with makes it easier to find far out in the pasture where you may not hear it.

Simple Install - Plug & Protect
2 Joule Electric Fence Charger with Siren AlarmI ordered this to use for our chicken coop as we live out in the country and have seen cam footage of predators in and around our property. We haven’t been able to set it up yet as we are building a new coop and are waiting till the new coop is done to set up the electric fence. But we have looked at this device and it is pretty simple to set up. You can either plug in it to a socket with the AC adapter or you can hook it up to a 12V battery. It comes with both sets of wires/cords. The output voltage is 12KV and carries 2Joules of energy. There is also a siren alarm which alerts you if there is a short circuit or connectivity issue. The display screen displays current voltage information so you can see if it is works properly. This electric fence charger is designed to deter wildlife predators and protect your livestock, poultry, pets and family. We can’t wait to finish our coop and set this up. The charger unit is pretty solid and can withstand a variety of weather conditions, but still feel that it would be best if you build a secure area to install the charger.

Strong charger for a good affordable price.
This replaced an older charger that was not too strong. Hook up with this one was extremely easy and charger was much stronger than my previous one. I like the lit display that shows it's on at night and also displays voltage.

Works Great on Portable Electric Netting
Easy to use. We hooked this up to a portable electric net fence and put rabbits in it. It shocked the dog upon her first inspection and she wanted nothing to do with it after that (90 lbs). Rabbits would get close, testing their limits, but eventually would jump back with a shock. The alarm/siren is a great feature that lets you know when something is wrong. Requires a strong, deep ground in my hard clay soil. Works great.

Weatherproof and easy to use
Took just moments to switch out my old charger to this new one. Straightforward and easy to install. Delivers quite a shock! My cows tested it twice and never came back near it.Has been through rain, frost and ice. No performance issues whatsoever.5 stars

Have some interesting features
Wow, this fence charger does have some very interesting features, i.e. an audible alarm to show when there is a short circuit. I am not sure how practical this feature would be. It also can run off of a 12 V car battery. That is a feature that should prove useful to quite a few people, it does appear to be powerful enough when I put my tester on it and the hook up is relatively easy. There are some things I do not like as well though. The charger is very lightweight and has kind of a cheap feel to it. I would not have even mentioned this in a review, but for the fact that the ground terminal was very loose inside. This does have me a bit concerned That the connection may break at some point. I will see how things work out over longer period of time with his charger as well. Anything that is outstanding, be good or bad. I will update my review. Not completely sure I would recommend this at the price point it is set at.

It works!
This review is for the 2 Joule Electric Fence Charger with Siren Alarm,12000V High-Power Output Electric Fence Energizer with LED Display, AC DC Multi-Powered Fence Charger Ideal for Livestock, Poultry & Gardens. So up for review today we have this dandy little electric fence charger. I'm very experienced with fence chargers as I've lived out in the country most of my life and had livestock...cows, goats, sheep, hogs, chickens, horses... They're a must have with them to keep them safely contained AND to help keep predators out, along with some good dogs and things that go bang bang LOL. I now live in the city, and I'll be using this to fence in a planned gardening area as we have a lot of deer up here.So here's a news flash for those whom aren't familiar with them. I've always set my chargers up, whether plug in or solar charger, to always run my chargers off car batteries. That way if our electric went out or the solar charger battery went out, they would still work. It's nice this one comes with the proper plug ins/clamps/wires to do it the easy way LOL. I don't have to set up multiple batteries, wirings, jumper cables, trickle chargers.... to do it! LOL.So this is a nice compact unit, I'll be building a nice weatherproof box to house it in. I must say this is a step above having an audible alarm on this so if something goes wrong with the system/circuit it will alert me. That's one thing I've never had before LOL.So I plugged this in and it powered on, and using a tester it does have a good out put. So I don't anticipate any issues when I get it setup.Regular price $109.99 ,per the listing is maybe too high a pricepoint but there is a $40.00 off coupon making it better. But browse listings. There is a wide price range for these things, and some basic rules. If you're running it for cattle generally one that runs on a 220 line is needed. I've never run a 220 charger. The smaller output 120 plug ins or solar chargers I've always found more than adequate. When I got my first solar charger I paid over $200.00 for it, they've come way down in price as things of technology do with time. I've honestly not found a plug in charger better than the big solar one I had, and vice versa. I will say the solar one was nice as I really didn't have to worry if the electric went out. As I explained earlier I always kept an extra batteries charged and hooked up with both types for backup. I live in a northern state, and even in the winter there's enough sun light to keep the solar one working. Part of the reason the solar ones are so big/bulky/heavy is because of the internal battery. So there's trade offs with the electric ones being smaller/lighter weight, but if the electric goes out no power unless you have charged batteries ready. As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.
