Nostalgia Retro Frother and Hot Chocolate Maker and Dispenser, 32 Oz, for Coffees, Lattes, Cappuccinos, Red

Admittedly, I got this bc it's cute and would look good for my hot cocoa bar. But, no, it actually functions like a real appliance. Put in your milk or water, your cocoa, and turn the switch on to Heat/Froth and bam...in a few minutes you have a cup of hot cocoa. At first my husband saw the cocoa powder floating on top and he said it wasn't going to mix well, but it really blends like a champ. Get it, it's easy and cleanup isn't bad at all.

Okay, here's the thing. I am an adult who doesn't like to drink coffee. Hot chocolate has always been my go-to cold weather drink especially coming in from walking the dogs on a frigid morning. I tried heating up the milk on the stovetop--scalded milk was the usual result. Heating a cup up in the microwave resulted in a bubbled over mess to clean up. But no more! This is a great little machine! It heats up the milk and cocoa mix while stirring and frothing and have patience...you'll soon enjoy a mug and/or thermos of delicious hot chocolate. Patience is needed because it takes about 6 minutes to heat up to hot enough to drink--but not burn the inside of your mouth. It blends and froths the cocoa and milk perfectly. Cleaning the unit is fairly easy, basically I just rinse it out with hot water. You cannot insert it in a dishwasher! It is rather small in size and lightweight, so it tucks away easily in a cupboard during the warm weather months. Plus, it just looks cool! I'm very happy with my purchase.

Debating whether to put 3 or 4 -- I would put a 5 for the quality of the drink. This makes incredible hot chocolate SO easily. I also bought Blue Bottle Craft Instant Espresso and paired it with milk in this frother and batched hot lattes for a party. Incredible! The reason I had to mark it down is that it's SO loud. You need to run it while you're serving so that the drinks stay frothed and warm, but ideally you'd want to be able to make the drinks, turn it off and just dispense it during a party because of how loud it is. If that doesn't bother you, it's a really amazing way to have hot chocolate or hot instant lattes for a group at home. I kids sleepover? It's perfect! It's just not ideal for a party atmosphere unless you're blasting music to drown it out. It's also definitely plastic at the top. The retro vibe is cute, but it has the quality of a kids toy in the make and feel. But, again, the drinks ARE GOOD. So it's a balance of what you're looking for. There aren't a lot of frothers out there that let you mix in powders during the frothing process to warm and combine into yummy, fluffy, delicious drinks.

Easy and fun to use. Makes the best hot frothy drinks. Home and office approved.

This works fantastic, not so much the froth but heats very well kids love it

This product is a joke. First off it's extremely loud, second it doesn't come apart for cleaning properly and third even with those issues I was still going to keep it, I've used it 3 times and it's now not heating the liquid. The part that's supposed to spin to keep it frothy and from burning is as small as a quarter. This product was a waste of money.

Works as advertised and looks cute! The machine has several big design flaws: no timer, no auto shut off and warming cycle. The best I could find at this time for the price. My previous discontinued Hamilton Beach unit had all those features but died after 11 years. The unit is noisy, but my previous unit was also. I just do not want to pay $300 for a professional grade hot chocolate maker.

This hot chocolate maker is great. Easy to use, even for kids. I got it for my niece and she made hot chocolate for the family the whole holiday. My husband got one several years ago and it is still going strong too! Definitely recommend!

Wish it held a lot more but is good for 3 small 8oz cups or 2 12 oz cups. We like it

This shorted out our electricity on first use. Foolishly perhaps, we assumed if Amazon were selling it within the U.K., the chocolate frother must be compatible with U.K. vaultage. This was decidedly not the case. The air smells like burnt plastic and the chocolate maker is broken after only seconds of use. Avoid.

My family and i got this a month before christmas. We made hot chocolates every couple days. Makes it fun for the kods to pour it out. The froth function is awesome . great addition to any family room

Lo compre saliendo del invierno pasado lo deje en su caja nunca lo use y este invierno que intente usarlo hacia un gran ruido el motor como que traia algo suelto si funciona pero hace mucho ruido anormal
