I bought this vinyl because I am tired of using bricks to hold doen vinyl that is curled up! I cannot lay curled up vinyl on my cutter. Flat and straight is the way for me to go. Yay.

I really want to love this htv because it does give a very pretty result but it is absolutely frustrating to work with. The vinyl is nice and thick and adhered easily to the cutting board. I used extra pressure to make sure that the cutting tool in my cricut got all the way through the material. Once it was cut it was near impossible to see the lines. I have had some difficult vinyls in the past but nothing like this. I was making a design for a tote bag and ended up leaving some areas in the design that should have been removed just because I couldn't see to weed them. Some little things came off on their own and I got lucky but I never could see the apostrophe in the word don't no matter how hard I tried. The sunflower in the photo is supposed to have circles out of it to give it more texture. I am approaching middle age and thought maybe my eyes were just going bad but even my teenagers couldn't see the lines. On the positive side, I was worried that it was going to shed glitter when I started peeling off the outside border of the design due to it looking like some glitter adhering to the sticky outer piece of material but I ended this project with NO glitter on me at all. It easily ironed onto my project with 25s of heat at 305 but in the end, this was too frustrating to work with and I would not order it again in the future.

This shimmer holo vinyl is easy to cut and weed, as long as you have the correct settings on your cutting machine. With a Cricut machine, you might need to go in and make some adjustments and use custom settings if you're having trouble weeding. This is a skill issue/user error and has nothing to do with the quality of the vinyl. The same goes for adhesion. This vinyl is not meant for home iron use. It is supposed to be used with a heat press, either manual or auto. You won't get enough heat and pressure with your home iron. I use the settings from the included sheet and I have great results each and every time.
