I am pregnant and craved for kimchi—so not really looking for very spicy chili powder (gochugaru). I wanted a mild and flavorful one. This is hard to rate as "spicy" is very subjective. To my brother, who eats insanely spicy food, this is practically nothing and was basically equal to paprika. To me, who always requests spice level 0, this had some kick even with a tiny bit. It's a very fine powder and very vibrant red that's a pretty color. It seems really fresh and the bottle is a good size. I wish it was a glass bottle instead of plastic though.

These bottles arrived well sealed and the powder seemed fresh. Smelling this, it smelled kind of sweet. I checked the ingredients to look for added sugar and there was none, so these ground peppers seem to have a naturally high sugar content, giving it a sweet and spicy flavor. I put some on my eggs and I thought it was pretty good. This is a great pepper powder for those who want a little spice, but not overpowering. It is very easy to control the level of heat with this.
