The real works.Well , it is just kind of big.

Spooled it with 50 lbs braid got 300yards on it and man can it handle some big fish caught this 37 inch bull red on it first trip and performed amazing . The bait runner works great for letting the fish run for a while but it does like to get stuck on closed some times preventing you from using the bait runner , it also quite heavy so be ready for that ,it also has a plastic on the bottom of the spool which worries me a bit but time will tell overall its pretty good for those wanting to surf fish on a budget

Still new but seems to have smooth action. Time will tell if a good buy.

Reel is great for the money and a very good reel.
