My first time crocheting with T shirt yarn and seems like the toy basket for my perfect granddaughter will be a success ! 😊😊

This T-shirt yarn is nice and has a little stretch. It is quite flexible and isn't a completely rounded thread. So sometimes when you're crocheting, you could "unwind" and get the flat side, which isn't a bad thing. It actually gives the stitches lots of definition and texture.I'm currently making a bag and will update as progress happens.It has a very silky smooth satin like feel, but the material is not actually satin. It has an almost shimmer like appearance to it as well.I think any project made from this will look beautiful.

The yarn feels smooth and is 2cm wide but curls up onto itself so it looks like a tube at a glance, bulkier than standard yarn. It comes in a ball weighing 407g, is 16cm tall and has a 40cm circumference. I got the yellow colour which I am pleasantly surprised with, its yellow hue veering in the direction of orange. It stretches a little bit and is packed in an opaque bag. This would be good for preventing it getting dirty if it weren't for the fact that the bag is not really the most optimum size: it's longer than it needs to be but insufficiently wide. As a result, the zipping mechanism can't work effectively and the bag is partly open with the ball of yarn bulging out. Will be a good alternative to the usual yarn, especially for people at the beginning of their crocheting journey, or who are looking for a bulky stitch.

Nice quality tshirt yarn. I ordered it in the blue option which is like a greyish duck egg shade and looks really nice. The chunky gauge means i will use between a 5-7mm crochet hook depending on the stitch tightness required.This type of yarn is particularly good for making crochet bags and other accessories although this 400g spool was around £13.99 (at the time of ordering) which is around double what i usually pay for a 700g spool. Comes in a small selection of colours and the fabric base is polyester which has a small amount of stretch to it. Pleasant yarn but would have to be better value for me to order it again.

This type of yarn is great for beginners learning to crochet as it is easy to see and count your stitches and it doesn’t unravel like other types of yarn. I chose to make coasters from this as it ‘works up’ into a nice thick mat which is washable, ideal for standing hot mugs on. The price at the time of this review is £13.99, which is fair for this quality and quantity of yarn. I will enjoy making my coasters and I am happy to recommend this yarn to you. 5 stars.

I ordered the T-Shirt Yarn for Crocheting in pink. You only get one ball, but it is quite big and heavy. This is not traditional wool, it is t-shirt yarn and it looks and feels like a thin strip of t-shirt material that is curled over. It is slightly stretchy and is a lovely pale pink colour. I can definitely recommend this yarn.
