Delicious, has no in pleasant taste or smell. The crushed herbs are perfect for most dishes. Mixes well in all food and texture is not a problem. Worth every penny

I opted for this brand because it’s actually grown in Korea, unlike the more commonly found Gochugaru that’s grown in China. Unfortunately, a significant portion of the spice consumed in Korea today is produced in China. I find the Chinese spice to be sometimes bitter and musty, with a darker color, while the Korean spice is more refined and nuanced. It’s expensive, though, which would significantly increase the cost of making large batches. Despite this, it’s a great, clean-tasting gochugaru!

I am pregnant and craved for kimchi—so not really looking for very spicy chili powder (gochugaru). I wanted a mild and flavorful one. I mixed it with a potato paste for my kimchi, and the result was very mild spiciness—just a deep, rich color and great flavor. What I Love About It: ✅ Not Spicy at All: If you’re sensitive to heat (or pregnant like me!), this is perfect. It adds color and depth without burning your mouth. ✅ Smooth & Fresh Flavor: It has a slightly smoky, naturally sweet taste that works beautifully in kimchi. ✅ Great Texture: The coarse flakes mix well into the paste and stick nicely to the cabbage. If you’re looking for a super mild gochugaru for kimchi or other Korean dishes, this is a great option. It’s flavorful without overwhelming heat, which makes it perfect for anyone who prefers a gentler spice level. Would definitely buy again!

This is fairly spicy. So depending on your tolerance and preference I’d recommend to people who love spicy hot spices.

Grown and processed in Korea. A little pricey but would prefer not grown elsewhere as most of others are.

I don't cook anymore but need a spice for dipping sauce. This does not have any heat.

This item is prefect. This is real KOREA grown red pepper. Ii's different from China grown red pepper. More premium. More flavor.(Higher quality. Richer flavor)
