X-treme Protection Rugged Cigar Travel Case 5ct

I previously had the cigar caddy version, my only complaint with that was that it was pretty thick and clunky for a 5-cigar case, it barely fit in my briefcase. This one is thinner - still not what you'd call ultra-slim, but it's definitely thinner and easier to carry. The brand label on mine is black not blue, which I prefer. The small round sponge is permanently mounted in the middle of the lid, and would rest against the middle cigar, so I don't use it much (they should have put it at one end) - instead, I put a drymistat humi-tube in the center slot and two cigars either side. I once left the case lying around for a couple weeks, and the cigars remained perfect for that long. I typically smoke 50-52 ring gauge, and four of them plus the humi-tube is a tight fit, but the case will close without scuffing the wrappers. If you want to go bigger than your typical torpedos, plan on three fatties plus a corona or something box-pressed. Overall, a very good product.

Solid, airtight, cushioned, and a great price. It even has a little humidifier inside, which is mostly overkill (my smokes aren't in there long enough to dry out, lol). It's an unbeatable combinationI bought it, mostly not as a travel humidor, but because I rarely had time to smoke more than 1/2 of a 7" stick, so I got in the habit of cutting them clean, and saving the remainder. However, even cut clean, the leftover left a strong smoky smell in my pickup cab. With this little box, I can seal up the leftover == clean-smelling cab.

This travel humidor is exactly what I needed! I was looking for something that would hold a few cigars for quick trips and didn't need anything to big and this case can fit anywhere in a bag or small travel case perfectly. It initially took a couple days to get the humidity levels right but once I did, it held the levels pretty good. No issues so far... and hold the cigars nice and snug. Once I've had to chance to use this a little more, I'll update my post, but for now, its working as expected. The only complaint I would have so far is I wish this came with a removable foam humidifier instead of a fixed one. Its kind of small and can overfill very easily so be careful. Doesn't hold much water or solution at all but really shouldn't at this size anyhow.

This case has traveled with me on 2 multi-state road trips and 2 flights so far.To be completely transparent, this case keeps my cigars better protected and at perfect humidity than my very expensive humidor at home.It's also a conversation piece when you pull it out with friends.I pack it for traveling and literally you cma throw it around like a pair of socks; completely taking it for granted until you are ready for a fresh, unharmed cigar.Do yourself a favor if you travel and purchase this case.I paid full price and did not receive a discount for this review. I'm just a guy who spends his own money for great products.

I travel all the time with this and it’s a very durable product. In fact, I left this on top of the family suv as I was putting my son in his car seat and forgot about it. A few minutes later as I’m zipping down the mountain I hit a turn and hear something! It was this case! It had flew off the top of the suv and went down a small ravine. I feared the worst, death to my sticks and the loss of my lighter after the case opens up upon impact. Well, besides a few scratches on the outside of the case, my sticks and lighter we’re inside, untouched. If you’re looking for a cigar travel case, make this your purchase!

You’ll get 5 Robustos in here but you won’t get 5 if you like any bigger ring gauge stuff. Still it is a great case and perfect for day tripping or everday use. I usually can get 4-5 sticks, a cutter, lighter, and punch all in there with an 8 gram boveda pack. Solid.

Perfect to hold ≤5 cigars and a cutter. I don't keep many more than than at one time, so this is my 'humidor'. Works surprisingly well with only a few drops of water, keeps cigars fresh. Great for travel/golf too.

I don't think these cases are made by Pelican, but they sure seem like they are. The case closes very snugly, you can just tell no air is getting in, I never dropped mine but I don't think from the feel of it that would have hurt it at all. It's not too bulky, fit in my pack really easily and no hassles from security at the airport. I really like this case, it holds 5 cigars perfectly, which for me was a perfect travel amount, and for the huge amount of Pro's I totally recommend it.The only issue I have with it is it's considered a humidor, and there is a little humidifier in the lid, but it's not removable! So the only way to get it wet without drenching all the foam that holds your cigars is by very carefully holding it under the sink and just letting a drop or two at a time onto it, or by syringe, or I suppose you could also use a DryMistat tube if your willing to give up one of the slots, which I was in no way willing to do.But, If they made the humidor removable, this would be a 5 star product.

I got the case and the foam is not like in the picture, its like an egg crate style foam.
