SougayilangFishing Reels Powerful 13+1BB Spinning Reels Ultra Smooth Reel for Saltwater or Freshwater

This is 1 of 2 reel I've purchased of this brand. The other is a 2000 series which is fantastic. I purchased this for one of my crappie rods and it has been flawless. Its going on 2 years of fishing and for the price you can't beat it. It still casts and retrieves just fine. I have purchased other brands and after a few months the retrieval starts to have flat spots in them but not this thing. The extra spool is nice as I can change it out with different line and fish for panfish. Totally worth the money.

I received this reel just a few days ago! Looking at it, the price was exceptional and the quality was okay! The appearance and the smoothness of retrieving the line was great! The handle was okay! The material used for this reel was good. The ease of use and casting our works really good!

Bought the 1000 size reel. Out of the box reel was okay smooth. Not the greatest, but okay smooth, what i expect from the price point. What really annoyed me was the handle moved left and right a little. Felt loose, back and forth. I took it apart and cleaned, re-lubed and added a plastic washer under handle. This fixed the handle issue, but reel was still okay smooth. Took it to the local lake for some sea trials. Worked fine, cast fine, reeled in fine but the drag was a killer. Drag is not smooth, as you pull it its loose then tight then loose then tight then loose then tight and so and so on. Doesn't matter what the tension knob is set at. Ill play with the drag washers to see if i can get them to pull smoothly. But whatever I got a fishing reel for less the 75 nightcrawlers.

This is the 4th Sougayilang reel that I have purchased. Using Sougayilang, I now have several different setups, depending on the type and size of fish I am going after. I have the XY4000, Energy Gl3000, & the Fierce Dl2000. I bought another Sougayilang reel as a gift for my brother, and have also purchased 2 Sougayilang collapsable rod & reel kits that I gave as gifts.I have used these reels in challenging situations and have never had a problem with them. Recently I damaged the handle of my XY4000, while in transit. I emailed Sougayilang asking to purchase a replacement handle. I received a response right away informing me that they would send a handle out to me at no charge! Needless to say, I was very impressed with their responsiveness and their excellent customer service!Based on my experience on the water, I believe that you can't go wrong with these reels.

Very smooth operating real. Unfortunately the extra spool that comes with it did not fit.

I ordered the 1000 size reel. That's the smallest. I use this on a very inexpensive spinning rod to catch monster Bream (Bluegill) at our local river lock. Some of the fish I use for catfish bait. The rest I eat. It's about 15' down into the inactive lock from the platform above. This reel has very good drag and is plenty strong enough to horse in those bluegill and crappie. Great reel! Great deal! I paid $12.07 tax and all when this was on an even bigger sale. I plan to order at least 3 more. I have already ordered a 2000 size for my dedicated Skipjack rod.

Had high hopes through reading the reviews...but after two weeks of using...I want to send this back...not worth the wait and price... added line and it's very uneven...not smooth at all... caught a few bone fishing and drag wasn't consistent...I'd just spend another $40 extra and get a penn or something else...this made me not want to buy another cheap reel ever...very very disappointed...and I get it you pay for what you get but damn Walmart got better reels for $40

I have been using it for fresh water fishing for 6 years. It still works pretty well. I don't know about 13 ball bearings but it seems to have them in key places. It's also quite serviceable. For the price, I give it a 5 star.
