Sorry, have to give 1 start. because it does not give power to the dash cam, try that on all 3 of different cars! first I plug into the 2019 Subaru forester sport, then I try on 2013 Abarth and 2018 BMW X5M. all 3 cars did not power up the dash cam. First I thought is the Subaru but after I test on other 2 cars. I confirm is not work at all. I did play around with the jumper on the plug, notting happen! Maybe I got a bad unit, but whatever, Return it!

Works great with my Mini Cooper and dash cam. Beaware it don't work with certain vehicle.

I got this for my dual-dash cam as an alternative to battery packs since my car's cigarette lighter turns off when my car is off. It has been very tedious to attach to battery pack, charge battery pack, and re-plug into cigarette lighter. It's especially not something I want to do for years to come if I were to park anywhere and you get the whole story.Anyways, this cord have been convenient for me. I only leave my car for about four hours a night for night classes, and I (fortunately I guess) have yet to see if the low voltage protection actually works. Starting my car has never been an issue, so we'll see in the long run. I do have my portable jump starter just in case.Switching between the three modes is easy as shown in their pictures. It's just moving a small knob that clicks to each setting. I just switch it to Parking mode if I'm at school/parking lot and stick with the "Engine Start" setting for the majority of the day because I park in a isolated garage.
