LED Solar Light Solar Wall Light for Garden Patio Pathway, Fence Stairs Stainless Steel Waterproof Outdoor Light with Motion Sensor Cold White

I really like this light because of the design being pretty much a single plastic cover over the solar panel, light and sensor. This will make it easy to clean. It was easy to install and worked out of the box.However, be aware that this light works like a combined solar light and PIR security light. When its dark the light comes on at half brightness. If someone then moves near the light it switches into full power. After about 15 seconds or so the light returns to half brightness as before. The light is ok for lighting up a house number or simlar and then offering a bit more light whenever someone approaches.Haven't had time to see how durable or how well it works over time with respect to battery life. My guess like pretty much all sloar lights it wont be long till the battery is always dead and the light only works for a short hour or so.As there is no settings to change any function of the light I figured I'd take a look inside to see if I can make it work differently. Inside I can see why there maybe lights that wont work for some people. The soldering inside is clearly done by hand and not very well as the solder joints look poor and not very well made. Anyway, I followed the circuit and decided to change it. I removed the 120ohm resistor on the small PCB which I figured kept the light on half brightness at night, at the same time I touched up some bad solder joints. Having removed the resistor it now only comes on at night if someone moves near it at full power. In this mode of operation I'm figuring the battery will not get drained as much by eliminating the half power mode and only coming on when someone moves near it. Time will tell.Its good you get 2 of these lights as I've kept the second incase it gets broken.The PIR sensitivity isn't that great. You have to be almost on top of the light to make it switch on, which is perfect if you want to use it at your front door.I chose to use the light to eliminate an area of darkness in the garden over the recycling bins. Works great.Bare all this in mind and if you understand what you are buying I would recommend it.

The item looks great but the motion sensors don't work on either in the 2 pack

I would highly recommend these if you have a place that needs light but you have no electric. The 'low' mode is discreet but enough to see where you're heading for and as you get closer the brighter light is enough to light the surrounding area. I wouldn't describe them as security lights as they aren't that bright, which is what i wanted, but they are good as a pointer in the dark. They do work better when the sun has been shinning, who doesn't!

Really great product. Does exactly what I wanted although these do not turn off completely, they dim when they do not detect any movement and brighten when they do detect.

I bought these to go above & light up a door no sign. Disappointed-as Lights aren’t very bright at all

A beautifully designed light, quite small about 4.5”, but very low light not really for lighting up an entrance brightly, more for subtle lighting
