Fantastic tv, but...
It is a fantastic tv for it's price, the picture quality is excellent 10/10, the built in speakers it's better than I expected but I'am using a soundbar so that is not an important thing for me, It is decent compared to a normal tv speakers. The remote is looks nice but it's a bit big, could have been a bit better button layout, but it does the job, wierdly it doesn't have an exit button to close the apps quickly and go back to watch regular tv. There is a different button for that, but you have to set it up yourself... The tv menu is a bit clunky and there is a lot of button pressing needed to get you where you want to be. I guess this could be addressed with some updates in the future. Apparently this W80A series is pretty new thing so I guess every beginning is difficult. To hook up a console or a pc to the tv it is super simple, no delay or screen tearing, so for regular gaming it is perfect but only 60hz so If you are a heavy gamer and you want a tv mostly for gaming you might have to look for a different option, I have both a pc and a console and it runs the games great on both. You will have HDR10 and Dolby Vision which is not always included in Samsung or LG tv-s at the same price range and If you watch a lot of movies you probably want that Dolby Vision in your tv. In overall it is not a perfect tv but almost, I'am very happy with it and I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a more affordable but also higher quality tv

Good quality picture and sound.
Good value for money giving with very good picture and sound quality. The on screen set up instruction Wizard is fairly easy to follow but the printed instructions provided are not much use. Initially the tv was set to a foreign time zone and it took me some time working through the set up menus to find a solution. The channel selection is a bit slow to respond to the remote but other than that I am pleased with it.

Excellent TV
Excellent picture, in fact it is the best I have ever seen. Excellent sound quality. I am having to have a lot of patience in learning the Panasonic remote control. Lots of extras but it is well worth the initial learning. Bought during black Friday which helped.

Slower than my 2007 Sharp LCD
After looking at dozens of TVs in a similar price range, I opted for this one based on it being a "premium" television. However, initial thoughts are that it's pretty standard in modern terms. The first seriously worrying aspect is the personal data scavenging. I just want a TV that I can plug the aerial in and start flicking channels. You cannot do this, as it wants you to immediately sign-up to services. The worst part is that it insists on using Freely instead of digital. After about an hour of scrolling through menus, I finally found the option to uninstall Freely and switch off something called "hybrid" viewing. However, if you rescan the digital channels, it will (without warning), reinstall the Freely app. Speaking of, it's very slow at going through the menus, and I ended up double tapping when I assumed it had frozen. This then causes it to register double inputs, and you end up in menus you didn't want to be in. I'm not sure what chipset they put in this, but it's not suitable for a supposed premium television. I only needed a new TV because my 26 inch Sharp Aquos from 2007 was too small for my ageing eyesight when I had subtitles switched on. However, it's so much slower at changing channels and opening the on-screen program guide than my old telly. The out-of-the-box picture is blindingly bright and too sharp, and not suitable for a bedroom setting. Found an alternative that is easier on the eyes. Can't figure out why they've got it turned up to 11 for initial viewing. Easy, tiger! I do not like the remote, at all. It's too big for a start. The frequently used buttons are way too far apart to use without having to change your grip. My Samsung in the living room has a very neat little changer, and that TV is at least 5 years old now. Can't understand why they ship the telly with this gigantic remote. Whoever designed this and decided it was ready for the market needs to have a serious think about what they want to achieve in this life. This is the very first time I've bought a new TV and thought that it's a step backwards in technological terms. Update: I ended up returning this TV, as I noticed that there were colour artifacts in one of the corners. When it should have been black, the screen had a sort of rainbow effect. It's the sort of effect you used to get if you put a magnet up to an old CRT screen. I assume the frame was bent or something was put together incorrectly at the factory. 🛠️ 👎🏼
