Great tool , easy to use.
This tool does the jobs perfectly with no fuss whatsoever. Tried the hand crimper type and that was a bit of a struggle, this one does the job with ease.

A good powerful tool for nut inserts
IN case anyone is not fully up to speed on why one would need this, put simply it inserts a threaded nut insert tightly into sheet material like metal or aluminium. THis insert (rivet nut) then provides an anchor thread for a bolt or threaded rod. The tool is often used when there is no access behind the sheet material for positioning a normal nut.THis is nice tool that gives me the required pressure on the insert without needing to push and strain on mechanical arms. Remember, these inserts especially the larger ones require considerable pressure to gain a good tight interference fit against the sheet material. The nut tool works on a twin handle, twist and ratchet system. THis is the best way with a mechanical hand tool to progressively increase the pressure without strain and slipping. I was very impressed with the operation and mechanical efficiency of the mechanism and how well it worked. The kit comes in a useful blown plastic carry box. THis includes all the mandrels, nut heads and some rivet nuts. It's reasonably heavy and feels like it will last a while without causing problems. One tip worth passing on, is to plan and practice your procedure of installing the rivet nut.Put the nut tool in the position that you intend to place the rivet nut, and practice the action if turning the handles as if your doing the job. Do you have clearance, are the handles fouling on bodywork, can you apply the pressure comfortably? A great useful tool, where there is blind access to nuts on sheet material.

Solid kit, good for tight locations
This is a solid hunk of metal with adaptors for M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 rivnuts as well as a selection of nuts.It has an unusual "twist to pull" action that I've not seen before and this could be very handy in areas where you have limited space behind the tool (you still need around ten cm for the head). You then pull the levers apart to pull the rivnut onto the workpiece. It could be worth buying for that need alone, albeit at an advertised price of around £65 it's a decent chunk of change for a hobbyist. The action is smooth and feels lighted than traditional squeeze type tools.
