Excellent product
For the price this is an excellent product. Delivered the next day, it was easy to set up and use - even my 91 year old mother can manage with the remote. The sound quality is very good and the volume more than adequate for a normal room. DAB reception is clear and CDs play quickly and quietly with very good clarity and tone. The unit looks good and is logically laid out - it is not the smallest so check dimensions. Overall I am very pleased and recommend without hesitation.

Better than expected
Disclaimer: As with other electronics with Taiwanese electronics the sound quality, BT and DAB reception can vary. This compact DAB CD player is ideal for home use and delivers on it's promises.DABThe DAB reception, combined with the extended aerial, provides a good and clear sound. It's easy to scan and store preset stations and DAB can be selected as an alarm wake up.CDSeems plastic and slow to respond. Unsure how long it may survive. This appliance is mainly for DAB and frequent cd play isn't it's main purpose.Assuming it works the audio output when reading any cd is very good and crystal clear.Other functions - remote controlHonestly I am not using the Bluetooth, as my big/ main speaker receives BT. When tested the BT reception was good and I couldn't spot any issues. The remote control takes a little time to get used and certain tasks are easier via the menu.I like the standby clock that can be set to "analogue" or digital.SpeakersIn my case I use the headphones' jack and connect to line in into my main speakers. Nevertheless, the speakers are decent, there's no massive sound clarity especially on low volume. I guess for home use they do the job.FrustrationsRemote control takes time to get used to, cd loading takes long and sound quality not great on low volume.Taiwanese electronics, what works for me maybe a disaster for you.

Great little stereo
Bought this stereo for elderly parents who are late 70s, we set it up which was quick and easy and they've managed ever since. Really enjoying all the stations and are able to use the cd player too.

Good Value for background listening.
First of this is a decent value for money bit of kit. I doubt you would find all these functions on anything else at this price. Indeed very similar looking systems seem to command a much higher fee on Amazon. The unit itself looks more expensive than it is.There are a few things to be aware of when deciding if this unit is for you. This isn't meant to make this sound like a bad product - it isn't. I suppose the choice is do you want to spend significantly more for a better system. The sound. I can only describe this as adequate to be honest. Its sort of a very soft sound (maybe thats to your liking). No matter how high you turn up the volume you never get a really loud room filling sound. Its really like background listening - you couldn't really use it for BBQ or party music. You get a sharper sound from a high end mobile phone for example. The Mode is a bit weird. You can't do anything with the CD until you are in CD mode. Most systems you open the CD tray and it switches to cd output. With this device - the tray doesn't open until you are in CD Mode. The controls on the remote are labelled different to the instructions. My says source rather than mode for example. The remote itself is decent - good size and works well from distance. The alarm function is pretty easy to set up and works well.I registered for the 3 year warranty. Whilst I didn't have a problem doing this - you don't get any acknowledgement at all.
