Great for salads and cooking.
This is a single variety olive oil from Crete. This is the Mediterranean diet you read about in the news. Years ago I use to import the very variety of olive oil. Terra Creta and ABEA are the two main pressers of olives on the island of Crete and they have been gathering olives from the locals for decades and selling this as I believe to be the best all around olive oil you can buy. I am not here to say this is the best oil you can buy but rather this is the best oil you can buy that you can cook with and put on your salad. It's the Swiss Army knife of olive oils. I've had top of the line local Moroccan hand pressed oils that taste like heaven, but you wouldn't dare cook with it and I have deep fried turkeys with Pomace oil from Crete but I would never use that on my salad. This Koroneiki variety olive oil is the best of both worlds. The rating of this would be higher but people tend to rate on not only the product but also of things out of control of the shippers like abuse from the mail carriers. Ignore these ratings, and buy this oil. Dented can or not the oil is superb.

This is an excellent EVOO
This is an excellent first cold pressed olive oil. It has the pepper taste in the back of my throat that I was looking for, and it's packed with polyphenols.

Still looking for that bold, peppery OO
I bought this based on reviews about the outstanding taste. I have been looking for a dupe of a super expensive Italian evoo I had bought a few years ago at a high priced specialty kitchenware retailer. That oil is the standard by which all others are measured, but I just can’t justify the price. I know there’s a value version out there- I just can’t find it!This is oil is fine. It’s 1000x better than anything you’ll find on the grocery shelf, and most of what’s on Amazon (I’ve tried a LOT) that’s for sure. It has a delicate flavor of olive with a very light hint of pepper on the finish. It’s definitely not rancid or bitter, so I’m guessing the people who wrote those reviews got spoiled product. For the price (I got it on sale) you can’t beat it for 3 liters. Still, I had high hopes after all of the rave reviews, but the flavor is just not the bold, rich, peppery one I am looking for. For comparison, my favorite wines are big, bold, dry Cabernets so if you’re a moscato drinker, maybe this has bold flavor to you lol. The search continues…

Good flavor. *Updated*
I love a good EVOO, and I especially love one that has a good bite.I was fortunate for a long time to have access to a local olive oil importer and packager. They sadly went out of business due to supply chain issues during COVID. Their source was a family-owned orchard in Greece. I loved that oil for its strong bitter kick, of which many others fall short. When I set out to find a new source I learned of the Koroneiki variety. This is the same stuff, with the same bold flavor. As with another commenter, the oil I received was unfortunately kicking around the supply chain for an extra year, so not as fresh as it could be. Oh well.*Update*With respect to the expiration date, I've since noticed an olive oil container (not this one) that had both "best by" and "packaged on" dates, which were less than a year apart. This is to say, just because this EVOO has an expiration date in the next several months doesn't mean it's already a year old. There's no way to know without missing context. To any manufacturers paying attention: please put production dates on your products. It's much more useful than an expiration date.

Oil is ok but dented can
The oil has a slight bitter smell but color and taste is good. The boxes are Perfect the oil can is not!The can was dented prior to sending because it was a box in a box with packing peanuts. I have cancelled my subscription due to the condition it came in. People post a lot of money just to get a dented up can.
