MEDcaRechargeable Ear Hearing Amplifier

I think it works very well...It is not a hearing aid it just amplifys sound....If you keep it up on high you get tooooo much back round noise... and you do not want this noise....Just loud enough to hear the TV better or hear people talking....ps....charges real easy and it holds a charge quite well...

At this point, I am unable to use these ear amplifiers. The volume, even on the lowest setting, is too loud to be used comfortably. I have a son who works on electronics that should be able to adjust the volume for me.What I do like is the ability to recharge, rather than replace batteries. I have had this product before and was happy with them, but the originals were lost. I do have hopes that they will eventually be useful to me.

Contrary to a review I saw here, it does come with directions. I struggle with the connection but I suspect that comes from not wearing a hearing device. On its lowest setting, very loud, clear sound. I tried a set of regular hearing aids but returned them before buying this. They caused an echo with my speech, cost a fortune and didn't enhance my hearing that much. I decided I was trying to resolve a low tech problem with a high tech solution - - - my most constant problem was with hearing low sounds on the TV. I can leave this by the chair I use and put in or out as needed.

Volume adjustment doesn't work. It only has one volume setting that activates after you turn the knob past the middle setting. So much white noise that it makes it difficult to hear anything else. I still have trouble hearing voices, which is what I needed this for, but every other little sound is amplified to the point where it is painful. I'm not sure why small noises sound louder than speaking, but I can't hear talking any better with this on. But, my own talking, closing a door, crinkling chip bags, all of these sound like loud blasts in my ear. Could be because the one I got has only one very loud volume setting, but all of these things make wearing this impossible. Also, if you are still planning on ordering this, be aware that the price regularly goes up and down between $50 and $70, so I would wait until you can get it for cheaper.

This does amplify the sound. It is not bad if you are just in quiet room with conversation. However the background noise is bad and the volume is too loud on low. It is very comfortable and lightweight and looks good. It holds a charge for a couple of days and recharges quickly. It fit in my ear good and I usually have a problem with ear buds. It is too bad that the volume and background is so bad.

Yes! I have a mother who is a very healthy 84, but is hard of hearing. She hates appearing to not know what is going on, and telling people to speak up. This gives great results. That is of course most important, not to mention the fraction of a price of others we have not been pleased with. Yet if you could give another 5 stars I would, for the recharging process. How many people would use iPhones if you had to open up a tiny compartment to replace extremely small button batteries every second day? How dare the industry force seniors to try to do this with dimming eyesight and not so nimble fingers, and then to invariably have a dead battery when you need it to work! Personally, it is not the cost of constantly buying the batteries, it is the huge nuisance of changing them. I would pay twice the price in a heartbeat (don't tell the manufacturer). I did pay twice the price actually, I bought one for her sister who is equally delighted.
