The COLOR is AMAZING!!! I grew up on these comics and now am able to read from them nightly. These are so fun! I have ordered these as gifts as well.

Crap

I’ve had a hard time getting my 11 year old into reading, which is definitely hard considering I’m such an avid reader and at his age I was easily tearing through a goosebumps book in only a couple of hours. The only things I can get my son to read are either graphic novels or comics, heck even the Diary of a Whimpy Kid books he refuses to read. So when I came across these Archie comics I figured I would grab them since he will at least read these.First off I’m not sure who made this decision, but every one of these comics has a full back cover advertisement for the show Riverdale… like why?!? That’s such a weird choice for a comic that’s geared more towards kids and tweens.But other than that these are pretty cool! My son enjoys reading them which is great, and they are pretty much just like they used to be when I was growing up (sans a giant Riverdale advertisement on the back cover!). Overall these are a bit on the pricy side, but I’m happy with them.

I loved Archie comics when I was growing up, and my kids loved Archie comics when they were growing up. And this year, they'll be getting these Archie comics for Christmas. They'll love them.I am going to assume you are familiar with Archie comics, which are a very fun and funny way for pre-teens to explore the teen years. I am just going to describe what I have in front of me.These are the digest size, so not like comic books. They are the smaller size. In fact, they struck me as a bit smaller than the digest size – and wouldn't you know it, we happened to have an old favorite Archie double digest sitting in the hallway outside my room. So I did a quick size comparison. These Archie jumbo comics are about a centimeter shorter than the old digest. They are also a smidge less wide.In addition, the covers are slick and glossy. Every single back cover advertises either Riverdale (a show I have not seen but which I understand is not actually suitable for the target audience of the comics) or The Archies movie (which I did not know was a thing).These jumbo comics are all thick, about half again as thick as the double digest. More Archie to love!!
