Cute & fun
The media could not be loaded. The musical snow-globe lantern is truly cute. The lantern design is nice and I love that glittery snow keeps going while turned on and playing a somewhat tinny sounding Jingle Bells. The spinning santa is cute too but he has an issue. Mrs. Claus must have given Santa 5 Red Bulls instead of milk because he’s spinning REALLY fast. Red Bulls, a couple cappuccino’s…something! To top it off, he spins counter-clockwise which is not cool if you have OCD tendencies. Makes it look like he’s going backwards and Santa is confused. Putting that aside though, it’s really cool how it projects a Santa image on to the ceiling. I’ve got 4 others of these snow globe style lanterns and none of them have a projection. You also have the option of batteries or a USB plug. If Santa could just chill & slow himself down a bit and spin in the right direction, it would be perfect. Really just a minor nuisance though, we’re quite happy with it.

Very Cute Christmas Decoration
Musical snow globes are always fun and festive Christmas decorations, and this one is no exception. It's not the traditional globe, though. It's an attractive, quaint, little lantern, approximately twice the size of the more typical snow globe. It's fairly heavy at 3 pounds 7 ounces, or 1.55 kilograms.Three modes: off, light with music, light without music. These are controlled by a switch on the back, near the DC input jack. I'm running it from a wall outlet, but you can use AAA batteries as well, allowing for placement wherever you want. The projection onto the ceiling is an added bonus. The hole in the top of the lantern can be covered for those who don't want to see the projection. The sound is a little tinny and scratchy. Not great. I prefer the crispness of a metal cylinder and steel comb that combine to make a sweet soothing, festive sound. The sound from this is a digital recording that definitely misses out on some of the charm of a traditional musical snow globe or music box.The cool thing about this "snow globe" is that while it's turned on (either with or without music) the snow is contantly flying. It doesn't settle like in many snow globes. There's an LED light inside which illuminates the whole scene, and which makes the snow sparkle. It's really quite eye-catching, and photos don't do it justice. This has already won a spot in our Christmas decoration lineup.

Twirling Santa is Annoying
The media could not be loaded. The SUNVIGOR Christmas Snow Globe with Music has the potential to be a beautiful Christmas Decoration. The unit comes well packaged in a foam tray (see photo) that can be reused for storage at the end of the Holiday Season. The lighting makes the swirling, floating flakes shimmer and sparkly and very attractive. The Snow Globe is in the shape of a Lantern and is very decorative on a table or the mantel. This has a feature of projecting an image onto the ceiling, which is cute as well. You have two options, one with music playing and one without. With the music on, there is a built-in timer to run six hours then shut off for 18 hours. This then repeats every day until switched off. The no-music option does not have a timer and stays on continuously until switched off. I would find six hours of the same eight tunes over and over again tiresome, so I only use the ‘silent’ mode. The downside of this unit (and NOT mentioned in the product description) is the fact that the figures inside the globe TWIRL (non-stop) when powered on. This is true for both modes (music or silent). To me, the downside of this twirling is that it spins so fast (about 38 rpms), you can’t really focus on the figures and the details they present. I also find the twirling to be dizzying to watch after only a short time. There is no way to turn off the spinning (unless you turn off the entire unit). Also note that in the product description, they state “…Cute Dog…”. There is no dog in this, there is a baby reindeer (fawn?).I uploaded a video of this unit in operation, both with and without the music. See for yourself and decide if you agree with me or not.I did want to really love this item, but I just can’t because of the constant twirling. This alone is the reason for the low rating.3 STARS AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEMI write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. I read reviews too, and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that you find this review helpful!

Fun!
This is a large, heavy weight snow globe. It lights up, plays music and the Santa turns around and around too. You can opt for no music, just lights and snow. The snow is very sparkly. The projection of Santa on the ceiling is very bright, crisp and clear. The reason I gave it four stars is because 1. the Santa twirls so fast, I was getting dizzy watching it, and 2. You either need batteries or have to plug it into a USB port to run it. I was under the impression that the USB would charge it up, but that's not the case. The snow globe would have to be near a USB port to use this feature. I haven't had a chance to see how long batteries would last. Fun snow globe, if you don't mind fast twirling!

Spins way too fast
The media could not be loaded. This will make you dizzy. Santa looks like he’s being pulled backwards into an invisible tornado. This isn’t for me. I can’t watch it.😬
