Sensational GF protein bars
I recently tried these gluten-free protein bars, and they were honestly a game changer for my daily routine. As someone who avoids gluten, finding a bar that’s both safe and satisfying hasn’t always been easy — but these ticked all the boxes. The texture was soft but not too chewy, and the flavors (especially the chocolate peanut butter) tasted like an actual treat rather than a compromise. I appreciated that they didn’t have that gritty aftertaste some protein bars do. They kept me full between meals and gave me a solid energy boost without the sugar crash. These bars felt thoughtfully made — high in protein, low in unnecessary additives, and totally gluten-free. I also loved knowing I could toss one in my bag and have a reliable, feel-good snack ready to go.If you're gluten-free and looking for a protein bar that doesn’t feel like a “health food” sacrifice, I’d definitely recommend giving these a try.

The Best Protein Bars I’ve Had – Amazing Taste & Nutrition!
I’ve tried tons of protein bars, and David’s Protein Bars are easily some of the best I’ve ever had. I got the Blueberry Pie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavors, and both were outstanding! The texture is the perfect balance of chewy and crunchy, so it actually feels like a treat instead of the usual chalky or dense bars out there. The macros are also unbeatable: 28g of protein, only 150 calories, and 0g of sugar—all while being gluten-free, low in fat and carbs, and great muscle recovery. Plus, they don’t spike my blood sugar, which is a huge win. If you’re looking for a delicious, high-protein, guilt-free snack that actually tastes like dessert, these are an absolute must-try. I’m already ordering more!

Changed the recipe and added unhealthy ingredients
The previous formula was a reasonably clean protein bar that I could find (still not completely clean), and I thought they were delicious, but now they’ve just changed the recipe and added maltitol, sucralose, and Acesulfame potassium (Ace-K), all of which are ingredients that many health-conscious people recognize as harmful to health. The bars also still contain GMO ingredients.I reached out to David customer service, and they were really kind and responsive, which I appreciated. Nevertheless, I’ll post almost verbatim what I sent to them, because I want to encourage other consumers to fight for our health, and to consistently demand from companies that they stop selling us poison. Check out the other 1-star reviews here. People care. We do not want these ingredients.Note – I’ve had to remove the links to the studies I included, because Amazon will automatically redact them. But if you search for any of the things I’ve noted, you’ll find the research easily.------Message sent to David Protein: I want to share some feedback that you will hopefully consider, especially if other people like me write with the same concerns. I believe your product is a premium one (it certainly has a premium price) :) and it seems to be marketed towards people who take their health seriously. It’s frustrating that the food industry has continued on a decades-long trend to remove food from food. EPG, for instance, is not food. It’s an indigestible, synthetic, fat-like product. Take a look at these crazy side effects (some of which I experienced): (link to study was removed – google “EPG digestion side effects”)I realize this ingredient was in your old formula, but I begrudgingly made my peace with it, but my true thought was – why don’t you just use a small amount of real fat? We, consumers, are not looking for calorie-free, food-free “food.” We want real food.Maltitol is a sugar alcohol. In recent years, it has come to light that sugar alcohols are associated with liver cancer. Check out: (link was removed – google “sugar alcohols and liver cancer”). I always mistrust something that seems too good to be true, especially sugar alternatives. Many health-conscious people, myself included, would be happy with just a small amount of real sugar or honey or maple syrup, as opposed to synthetic sweeteners. I believe that the danger of sugar alcohols will become more widely known over the next decade and people and companies who are paying attention will begin to shun them. And then you added sucralose and Ace-K. :( These are awful ingredients. I saw one of your Instagram ads, where people were pointing this out, and your responses to them were that they are “safe” and “FDA approved.” Do you know how many toxins and carcinogens are FDA approved? That can’t be the only source of “truth” that we listen to, because the FDA is not an angelic and altruistic organization. They are part useful and part pure evil. Both of these ingredients (and other artificial sweeteners), are linked to cardiovascular disease – which is the #1 killer in the US. Please check out: (link was removed – google “artificial sweeteners and heart disease”). Here’s another article on Ace-K: (link was removed – google “Effects of acesulfame K on human health”).If I were developing a product, I wouldn’t even consider including “questionable” ingredients (those that have raised enough red flags that they could be dangerous, even if there wasn’t a definitive cause/effect study produced). Why take the risk? There are so many extremely safe natural food ingredients to use. The problem is that little bad things like this, here and there, are used in tons of our food products, and over the decades, they add up to a big cumulative effect and cause serious diseases. Please consider this comment again: health-conscious people are looking for real food. The true solution is to just make everything from scratch at home, but it sure would be nice to find one convenient, truly clean protein bar to have occasionally. Thank you for reading, and I’ll truly miss your bars. They were delicious.

Great protein bar
Great tasting protein bar! 28 grams of protein, no sugar and 150 calories. Nice size bar too, very satisfying. Price is a bit high. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Perfect Balance of High Protein, Low Calories, and Great Flavor!
I’ve tried a lot of protein bars, and the David Protein Bar Variety Pack is easily one of the best I’ve had. Each bar is packed with 28g of protein while staying at just 150 calories, making it an incredible option for anyone looking to build muscle or stay on track with their fitness goals without unnecessary calories. Plus, with 0g of sugar and low fat and carbs, these bars are a great choice for maintaining steady blood sugar levels—no sugar crashes here! The flavors in this pack are fantastic. My personal favorites are fudge brownie and salted peanut butter, which both taste rich and satisfying without being overly sweet. The blueberry pie and cake batter are surprisingly good too, especially if you want something a little different from the usual chocolate-based bars. The texture is soft and chewy, which makes them easy to eat—none of that chalky or tough consistency you find in some other protein bars.I also appreciate that these are gluten-free, making them a solid choice for those with dietary restrictions. Whether you need a post-workout snack or a quick, high-protein option on the go, this variety pack delivers on both taste and nutrition. Definitely a staple in my pantry now!
