Hayfield Bonus DK Double Knitting, Fields of Gold (666), 100g by Sirdar

I used this wool as the main colour in the attached punchneedle rug I made - it was great to work with and the colour was spot on. I found it to feel lovely and soft on the rug side yet stayed in place on the back side - I did glue it down as well but if I was using it as a wall hanging I would have left it. I still have about a quarter of a ball left, so for a foot-size rug/mat I found that one 100g ball is plenty especially if you are using other colours. Perfect for punch needling.I haven't tried it in a crochet/knit project as yet but the yarn seems to be good quality for this too.

I bought this wool in January for baby items and it was lovely and soft so ordered more this week, it came yesterday and its awful very rough not at all suitable for baby items. Its exactly the same wool same label but totally different from the first lot. Wont order again really dissapointed

This yarn colour is exactly like the picture, it was exactly what I wanted for my checkered hat and gloves. It's very soft and easy to work with. I used a 5mm hook which worked well.

My mistake I order DK instead of Chunky DK. I have kept the wool and revised what I originally intended to knit. 100% acrylic wool which is machine washable, UK 8 needles, not very soft but sufficient for my current needs. It’s a lovely cool red.

I made two baby cardigans for twin girls they look lovely

It's great wool am making a beautiful blanket with it .

I enjoyed knitting with this yarn I knitted a long cardigan for my daughter she loves it .

Great buy for a decent yarn suitable for many patterns
