Very nice tool for my company
I do Audio / Visual work for a living - I work during the week for an install company, and on the weekends I have my own AV production company. This has been a great tool in my bag for both jobs. When installing, I often connect this to a computer and start a scan for 24 hours, so it will pick up any transmissions nearby that may happen at strange times. Then, I export the data as a CSV, and import into Shure Wireless Workbench. I then combine the scan with the data gathered from Shure, and I have a solid set of frequencies I can use to program the wireless mics. My only real complaint is that the CSV file that the software saves isn't comma separated - rather, it uses tabs. Wireless Workbench won't take a tab-delimited file, so I have to open it up in UltraEdit and replace the tabs with commas.

learning curve
The Rf explorer is a must tool to have in your possession. The online operators manual is a little short on how to manage the buttons. 3 hours needed to understand how to use the device. It is an excellent piece of equipment.

Very handy
Simple and simply does the job. Wish it covered up to 5.6G but then it would cost many times as much. I wonder how much a device that covered up to 2.4G would be. For what it covers it it worth the money.

Great for field, but has its shortcomings
I love the portability of this unit, but higher resolution setting just freezes the app even on smaller spans. I understand that this of course is not a substitute for a real spectrum analyzer, but it does leave a desire for more powerful processor in the unit.I love setting for internal attenuator, you can set -30db on the input inside device settings. This device covers entire HF spectrum, which is great.Price tag is really affordable, i don't regret buying this unit.RFExplorer app for PC is really good. Firmware update is really easy process.

Excellent Device
This machine gave me enough evidence to go to the FCC to complain about VHF interference.

Buttons Stick...
Fantastic device and works as it should. But the one I bought has an issues with the buttons sticking which is kind of annoying. Which is why I didn't rate it a 5. Otherwise it a fantastic instrument for sniffing RF spectrum.

For the price a nice tool
Ok, the unit is not my IFR 1600S service monitor, but for the price turned out to be an excellent tool. There is a learning curve and found the instructions adequate. My best use has turned out to be stand alone (without the software) and accompanied with a separate wide band receiver. As for the software, I'm sort of on the fence. I have emailed support with questions, but yet to hear from them. As it turned out, based on the intended application for the unit, I'm not sure that Touchstone Pro was worth the $49 and appears to be incompatible with the standard (free) Touchstone software. Because of this I ended up using two PC's, one with the standard and the second with the pro version. In summary, there are a few issues with the software, but overall impressed.
