This thing is an absolute beast and worth every penny
I've been doing home renovation projects for years and have gone through way too many cheap pry bars that either bend or break when you actually need them to work. Finally bit the bullet and got this Estwing and wow, what a difference quality makes. This thing is built like a tank. All one piece of steel so there's no weak points where the handle meets the head like on cheaper bars. I've used it to demo everything from old flooring to stubborn trim and it just keeps going without any signs of wear. The 24 inch length gives you serious leverage. I can pull nails and pry boards that would have been impossible with my old shorter bars. The gooseneck design is perfect for getting into tight spots and the angle gives you way better control. Weight feels substantial but not so heavy that you get tired using it. It's got good balance and the grip area has enough texture that it doesn't slip even when your hands are sweaty. I've used it for demo work, pulling up old deck boards, removing trim, even as a general lever for moving heavy stuff around. Handles everything I throw at it without complaint. The finish has held up really well too. Still looks almost new after months of pretty rough use. No chipping or rust even though I'm not always great about putting tools away clean. Yeah it costs more than the Home Depot specials but this is one of those buy-once-cry-once tools. I should have just started with quality instead of going through three cheap bars first. If you do any kind of demo or renovation work, just get this one. Your back will thank you for the extra leverage and you won't have to worry about it failing when you need it most. Definitely the kind of tool I'll probably pass down to my kids someday.

Great for deck demolition.
Great quality piece. We had an aging deck constructed with the awful square head screws that don't like to be removed and this made tear down pretty easy.

Well made, heavy and durable!
I borrowed my sister's prybar. Hers was an old well kept heavy style. It made me want one of my own. This one is a little heavier than hers. This one will not break and last a very long time. I love it! Btw my sister and I have more tools than our husbands and we both use them and take care of them. The durability of this product is very much guaranteed. Well made!

Solid Bar
This is a very good bar. It's just not the best I've had. The 36" Roughneck Gorrila bar is just a tad better and stronger. The Gorrila bar is a little wider and the claw end has an approx 100 degree angle whereas the Estwing has a respectable 92 or so degree angle (anything is better than a flat 90 degree angle for attempting to pry 90 degree loads). The Gorilla bar claw is also longer as well with a little more of a loop to the neck (more desirable IMO). Unfortunately for me, I gave away the Gorrila bar to my son and I needed once again. The Estwing is an excellent bar and at half the price of the Gorrila bar (of course I paid far less at the time from Northern Tools), it's a solid pick for occasional use. If you're a contractor with daily need of such a pry bar, get the Gorrila version, it is superior albeit more expensive.

Quick work!!
This thing opened a sentree safe I had for 25 years in less than 5 minutes that i havent been able to open for months!! Yes I had to stand on the safe and lean on the bar but whatever! This makes me wonder if their safe are all they are cracked up to be lol. I threw away the door and now use the rest of the safe as a package drop off for the mail lady lol The bar is heavy but EFFECTIVE!!
