These polarized bifocal sunglasses by Ideal Eyewear are great for reading outdoors, tying on your lure while fishing, marking the scorecard during a round of golf, or anything where you want to see up close while still protecting your eyes from the sun. These polarized bifocal sunglasses are particularly good for fishing, as the Polarized lenses block the glare of the water, and the bifocal lens lets you easily see up close while you tie on your lure. Or, maybe you'll want to read while your waiting for the fish to bite! They are great for golf too, as the polarized lenses make it much easier to track a golf ball in flight, and the bifocal lenses come in handy when it's time to mark the scorecard. These are like two pairs of glasses in one!

Really Nice!
I like these glasses a lot. They work great for bike riding (even over a 100 miles) and are good at the pool as well. They do all I could have asked for.

I like 'em. Not perfect but very helpful.
They work good and are very helpful when fishing however they do take some getting used to. I had problems getting a little headache the first day I used them but the built in tether allowed me to just drop them off my face for a while and recover. They are not the best quality lenses but I still prefer using them due to the convenience of having the built in readers. Looking through the lenses and having the round inserts may also contribute to some distraction since these are a little in your lower field of view. You can get used to them and I use them every day on the lake. Give 'em a try and I think you'll be happy as I am.

Good product for old fisherman
If you're old and need glasses just for close up work, these work well at a reasonable price. When i'm fishing in the high mountains of New Mexico, I need these to tie clear fishing line knots. Previously priced polarized bifocal glasses in resort town. Cheapest pair they had was over $100. Thought it better to get several pair of these much less expensive glasses that work almost as good while fishing. It's not difficult to lose them or break them in the mountains. This happens, and there must be a Murphy's Law that say it will happen when you're 40 miles to nearest town

These are definitely NOT polarized or polycarbonate
Pros: the small inset lense for magnification is just the right sie and location so that it's invisible when you're looking straight ahead or up and completely fills your view when you look down at something in your hands. It is very effective. And for the record, the inset lense is clear. They are very comfortable, and I really like the fact that the string on the back is permanently attached to the glasses. I work outside doing carpentry and fish and boat in my glasses, so I'm always looking down or up or at weird angles and my glasses keepers seems to always slip off at just the wrong time.Cons: I thought the price might be too good to be true for genuine polarized glasses, and these are definitely not polarized. They are also definitely not polycarbonate either, so despite the side shields these are not suitable as shatter proof eye protection if that's what you're looking for..If you are looking for the "safety glasses" effect of actual polycarbonate and/or really need polarization to cut glare, then do not buy these glasses. If you just need really comfortable, highly functional cheap sunglasses with the magnifier lense, then these are a good choice.

Great for Road Racing
I race on closed circuit tracks. I have used other brands, but these are the only ones flexible enough to stuff into, and remove, from my very snug track helmet without damaging. After heats, I just reattach the lanyard, they are extremely useful for prepping as well. Most other brands have very brittle frames with thick ear rests, which have resulted in either breaking the frame, or severe pain with welts at the end of a 10 lap sprint. They are not perfect, I wish the ear piece was straight back, it would be a lot easier to jam into the correct position when suiting up.As the final item to put on before a race, I am already wearing very thick leathers, with a layer of various pad and protectors underneath, along with thick gloves and helmet, there's up to 1 1\2" of insulation, its hot as heck, and difficult to fiddle with placing the glasses. But once the flag drops, all is forgiven, I'm able to read the transponder data easily and only have wind issues past 150.

Stupid looking and waste of money!!!!
These sunglasses were a JOKE! I have previously had sunglasses that were bifocal. Meaning the lenses were like regular bifocals, ones that were integrated into the lens. They looked like normal sunglasses, only you had the convenience of being able to read things easily. I could not tell from the picture, had never seen anything like these, but they have a little CIRCLE CUT OUT OF THE SUNGLASS LENS AND AN INSERTION OF A CLEAR LENS THAT IS THE BIFOCAL PART. THEY LOOK LIKE CLOWN GLASSES!!!! The glasses themselves are large, feel cheaply made and certainly nothing you could wear in public without looking freakish!!! I threw them away. Will never buy anything from that vendor again.

Six years...still in good shape
Granted, I don't use them everyday, but do hike, bike, kayak, and fish with them, so they have been used hard. Only reason I came back was to learn they don't come in 1.75x : (The stems are a tad shorter than most, but not a big problem. The strap is a great design...will hold them well around the neck, but will break away if caught on something (tree limb, when retrieving a snagged lure close to shore). Have always snapped back into place. Six years ago they were polarized. Excellent for looking-down activities; not so much for driving...the lens are placed a bit lower than other same-style glasses.

Awesome glasses
Great for flyfishing. Polarized to see through the glare and they feel great. I got the 6Pcs Adjustable Floating Foam Eyewear Retainer Holder Strap Sports Sunglass Keepers Eyeglass Holder Strap Rope to go with them and I love the combination. Great price.

The bifocals are on the right place with a good angle. Good style and design
The hinges on this glasses are not strong enough. Double hinges would be adequate. The bifocals are on the right place with a good angle.Good style and design. But the hinges to weak!
