It really is better than other balms
I saw this recommended everywhere and wanted try it out even though I carry my beloved EOS balm with me everywhere. This balm is much thicker than most, even thicker than Vaseline, and you only need a tiiiiiiny bit. Its large opening makes this a bit difficult but it’s no biggie. The balm is very occlusive and pretty sticky so it lasts for several hours - I only apply it once or twice per day, it lasts all night, which leaves them super soft and hydrated in the morning. My only minor complaint is the smell. I got peach, which does taste like a real peach, but the smell is so strong it put me off a bit at first just because it was so sweet and cloying. It’s honestly grown on me a bit though and I don’t mind it now, so I wouldn’t even deduct a star for it.

It’s a great product that helps moisturize and protect lips
This is a great product. It’s like a thick glaze, think an occlusive that stays in place better than aquaphor or Vaseline (these two products slide right off or absorb too quickly into my lips). I purchased the glazed donut scent, and it’s lovely. Smells exactly like a fresh out of bakery glazed donut. Not too overwhelming but enough fragrance to give an enjoying scent and experience on the lips. It won’t stay on completely during eating and drinking, but will slowly transfer away. If I wear it and not touch anything to my lips for hours, the product remains intact on my lips- even overnight!During and long after application, Lips feel moisturized and hydrated. I have chronically dry lips and this stuff is a life saver. It helps keep my lips hydrated and protected and seals in any other lip balm I apply on underneath. If you do not like a bit of weight to your lip product, this may not be the one for you. You do feel it on the lips. But just keep to a thin layer on your lips otherwise, there can be buildup. Need to wear the product on its own, as it doesn’t work well under or over lipsticks or liners. Will continue to repurchase.

love it
i'm a little over halfway through the tube and i will definitely be repurchasing. i love that you don't have to carry it around everywhere and apply multiple times a day. i put it on at night and sometimes in the morning. keeps my lips moisturized and they look more plump too. it has no taste, and doesn't feel all gross if you get some in your mouth. the scent is mild, artificial strawberry which i love.

Works well if a bit thick
I'm a bit of a lip balm enthusiast and I had been wanting to try Lanolips for awhile. I really liked the idea of the Raspberry Shortcake flavour. I will say the tube feels empty, I don't know why or if that's normal as this is my first experience of the brand, but right out of the box it just felt very thin and flat and empty. I will say I've used this at least once a day for almost two weeks and it still feels about the same. It doesn't take much as the product is very thick and rich. I do prefer to use it at night as it is thicker than I usually prefer during the day and a little sticky at first. But I have really enjoyed using it before bed almost like a lip mask. I didn't love the flavour though, there's very little raspberry detectable. It's more of a vanilla cake with a whisper of berry. I would have liked a more raspberry forward scent and flavour.

BEST Lip Ointment I’ve Ever Used!
I’m seriously irritated that I didn’t find or try this sooner! It’s been incredible for my winter dry, flaky, peeling until they bleed lips. I’ve tried several other kinds of lip balm’s but NOTHING has helped me as much as this has. The texture is thicker than most lip Balm’s I’ve used but it feels rich to me when compared to other stick type lip products. It’s not gloppy like Vaseline and the minty smell is SO addictive. I googled several article’s on the best lip balm for winter lips and this one kept coming up. Once a week at night, I softly exfoliate my dry lips with a lip scrub & a soft towel then I apply it and in a day they’re baby soft again! I will definitely buy more and different flavors as soon as I can!

Not so great
This product was touted as being wonderful for dry lips and being able to be used infrequently since it works so well. I did not find it to work any better than regular lip pomades or aquaphor, which is much cheaper. It did not stay on lips longer than either of those products. I will admit, the coconut smells nice, but I don't think I'd buy this again.

Amazing for moisturizing dry, stubborn lips.
Finally I found something that actually works to moisturize my dry, cracking lips! I've been through so many different types of chap stick and lip balms, carmex, white petrolium, 'lip repair', burt's bees, and many others, with all of them failing to really hydrate my lips at all, and some of them actually making things worse. This lanolin based stuff, on the other hand, is a godsend! The first couple of days I used it, my lips were just straight soaking it up, and having used it regularly for a couple weeks now (a little goes a long way) they've never been healthier! I even went and bought a 7oz jar of pure lanolin to use on my beard that's also consistently dried out. Wouldn't recommend that for your lips though, as it does smell of sheep. I'll be mixing that with some oils into a balm.If you've tried everything else and it isn't working for you, definitely give this stuff a try! Make sure you test it on a patch of skin first, though, as some people are allergic to it, and when you use it, make sure not to apply too much, otherwise it will feel very slick and a bit sticky. I just use a small bead of it on my fingertip and spread it that way.
