Let me first qualify this review with the fact that I am very mechanically inclined and have used many kinds of presses for different purposes. This sight pusher has too much play and flex, and can only push very lightly before things start to shift and flex. I used it first on a G43X and easily removed the nylon rear sight. Pressing in the iron replacement wasn't happening however After doing my best to account for the slack and play, the tool kept flexing and was not able to push the sight in a linear fashion no matter how many times I restarted to avoid it going in cocked. Then I started the sight into the slide with a jeweler's hammer and it still could not push it straight. Next, I attempted to R&R OEM tritium sights on a G26. Gently and slowly working the press to monitor the situation, it was obvious that once again the device could not exert enough force while keeping its integrity as far as pushing without shifting or getting cocked. It quickly went back in the box for return before damaging a slide or sights.

I bought this to replace the rear site on a Kahr CW9, the site was very stubborn, this tool made it possible to finally remove old site and install the new site without damage. Solid construction, excellent simple controls

In full disclosure, I bought this to install sights on a Springfield XD. One attempt under my belt, I boxed it up and prepared for the return. After having some challenges getting this tool to work, I did some research and discovered that Springfield sights are notoriously difficult to replace. With that newly gained information and some mentorship from an experienced gunsmith, I ended up using the tool and a 16oz ball peen hammer to complete the project. Since the tool survived the hammer and is ready for the next, less challenging project, I will keep it. To get 5 stars, i would have to have worked sans the hammer. A little longer vise for frame stability would be a plus. Stronger supports would be nice as well. Having the sight prongs closer to midline would be preferable. Considering the price, it is a viable alternative to the pricier options.

A bit hard to turn. The frame seems to bend and warp with slight pressure. Probably go either way a different design when buying another one.

Husband used this to sight in the scope on my sons gun for youth deer hunting...worked perfect and our son got the perfect shot!!!

I have used this on several pistols and it lacks the regidity to work properly. It will just flex when you start to push the sight.
